Fabulous Joss Interview

This is a Vice Magazine interview.

The most interesting thing he said re: Season 8 was:

"I was dealing with the fact that I had created a future where none of the things she had apparently accomplished had actually happened"”I wrote them before I wrote her doing them, and that was a mistake. So trying to reconcile the two led to the tone of season eight."

This makes some things clearer. He wants to show not only how we got to "Fray" from "Buffy," but how we got to the flashbacks we see in "Fray" of Buffy's "final" battle.

Which leads me to believe, more than ever, that the Big Boss Fight will happen at the end of Season 8, and that Season 9 will be about something else... maybe not even about Buffy.
 
I thought that no interview with Joss could infuriate me more than the Alien 3 one where he was all:

"Bad script? No, they read my lines wrong. Bad script? No, they shot the film wrong. Bad script? No, they made the sets wrong. Bad script? No, they put some kind of magical curse on my dialogue to make it sound bad and on my plot to make it not very good. I am entirely blameless."

But then, comes this massive turd of a verbal exchange:

"Linkin Park?"
"I'm a big fan of metal."

Interesting. Joss seems a little weird in real life, anyone else think that? Not weird as in our kinda weird. 😉 I mean, sure we're all freaks, but there's just something about him...Can't put my finger on it. But thanks for posting. 🙂
 
I'm not sure any "normal" person could produce something like Buffy the Vampire Slayer...
