Meet WB Diva and Tadpole, two of our most opinionated, devoted and yes, obsessive fans. Besides their addiction to fighting about who's hot and who's not on The WB, they have nothing in common, and that's what we like about them! We've decided to get them off of their couches and into the ring to battle it out on the question of the week. Check back soon to see what they take on next.
Nature vs. Nurture: Who is the biggest bad guy, Lex or Cole?
Tadpole: I don't think Lex is bad, he's just misunderstood. My hunch is that those seemingly low-down deeds he pulls now will ultimately benefit the people he loves. He's too smart to be bad. Cole, on the other hand, has evil running through his veins.
WB Diva: Cole may have evil in his blood, but that makes his fighting his very nature all the more commendable. Lex can't blame his genes. He hurts the people he loves to further his own agenda. That's truly bad.
Tadpole: Just because Lex doesn't have demon blood in him doesn't mean that the lure to be evil isn't equally hard to fight. He's forced to defy his father, someone he's supposed to worship and love. He never once uses it as an excuse, which can't be said for Cole.
WB Diva: It's much harder to have tasted the cushy life of pure evil and then walk away. Cole learned his lesson. Lex is just warming up. He enjoys crushing people. You'd think that after all the pain his father caused, Lex would at least try to be decent.
Tadpole: They both try! But Lex has everything to lose by being good. Cole, however, is totally getting his bread buttered for sacrificing his underworld perks. Every time Lex tries to do the right thing, the only real human connection he has in the world is totally threatened. That, to me, is true valor.
WB Diva: Valor my a$$! Everything Lex does is to promote himself. If he happens to help someone along the way, it's a happy coincidence. If Lex really cared about people, he'd give up Daddy's money and the toys and do life on his own. Cole may be getting what he wants by being good, but in my book, that's exactly the way it's supposed to work.
