No, No, and NO 🙂
Faith and Wood would never have been a Good Shipper, In my opinion it never was a Shipper 😀 It was just a one time thing, You know end of the world and all 😀

I don't think it was forced either, I think it was just because they were both kinda going through some hard times (It being the End of the world again) and they needed someone. Faith was practically alone, and so was Wood. So they got together once, But in my opinion they aren't really a good 'Relationship'
And as for who is the 'one' for Faith...Well that would be me ofcourse 😀

so do you think there was quemistry between them before or just becaus ehe was at the "right place in the right time"?

lol, i meant from buffyverse..😛
ana8: Can you think of Faith Wood??
not really.. ::nono::

I think He was just in the right place at the right time 😀
And if I'm correct, Shoulden't this go in the Whendoverse Forum?
Also, From the BuffyVerse, I think Faith was better off- Alone. She doesen't seem like the type of person to be in a 'long term relationship'. (Other then with me 🙂)

1.No
2.YES!
3.No way.. he's too boring for her.
4. Fuffy all the way! lol ::evil2:: oh no wait, i'm a Spuffy... ::huh:: hum.. i guess i would aso like to see her w/ spike (Spaith 😀)..so to conclude w/ Buffy or spike.. ::eyes::
errr.. i thoutgh it was here.. it has to do w/ faith.. but if i'm wrong a sorry..

1. did you like that shipper?

No... just... no.

2. do you think it was a "forced" thing just so can faith would have a real relationship in the hole series?

Yup. He was there. No one else qualified. They stuck Faith with Wood. No other reason.

3.do you think it woul last?

No. Neither did the writers. The proposed Faith spinoff didn't have Wood in it.

4.if ansered no at some of the above who do you think is the "one" for Faith?

No one we've seen yet. The closest would be either Angel, with which she seems to have developed more of a brother/sister vibe, or Wesley, who I just don't see her with either ('sides, he has Fred issues at the moment).

I mean, Wood/Faith was just an excuse to have a Dushku related sex scene.

They decieded to have a "boffing"-themed episode and Wood was all they had left for Faith, so bam instant poorly concieved relationship.

Then they try to make it significant. They try to make Wood out to be the first guy to "really care about" Faith, which is totally (and I don't use this word often) bogus. Xander cared for her on some level. Wood didn't even know her! Besides, he knew that she was the kind of girl who has relationship issues, specifically relating to her jumping into bed with guys as soon as she meets them. If he was such a nice guy and really cared about her then wouldn't he have suggested that they wait knowing her history? Try to for a real connection before moving the relationship towards the physical?

Worst. Ship. Ever. (and I'm including Spuffy and Buffy/Riley here)

Not at all. i wouldn't say forced but i do think they just thought hey, single guy, single girl, over 16, why not? and like Happy said a reason to have a DUshku realted sex scene. the subtext did well enough didn't it?
no i don't. it didn't jive at all to me. i think that maybe they might be a social friend, talk to each other time to time but nothing major.
eh...im a fuffy shipper....*shrugs*

yeah i agree, xander did cared for her at some level..yeah, a really nice guy that really cared for her would have waited, and developed the relation without the "jumping in the sack" at the first opportunaty..

Happy, you bring up some good points, but I think Wood would have been good for Faith. I think he really did care about her. Their past is similar, they both had no stable family figure to rely on. And while that means their both probably slightly srewed up in the mental department...we know Faith is slightly unstable at times...they have a connection.

Faith acts tough but she needs someone she can rely on and I think Wood would offer that. He knows the kind of life she would have to lead. And he's a principle...that to me screams reliable...and slightly boring....but he's proved to keep her on her toes. He teases her when no one else would dare tease Faith, with the possible exception of Spike.

Personaly I think they make the perfect couple...it might not be a relationship that would last forever but it would be a meaningful one.

They'd talked for all of what, five minutes, before hand? They wouldn't know each other enough to find out how common their backgrounds really are or if the have a connection (heck, we've seen more of them than they saw of each other and, really, how much do we actually know about either's past? Not much huh?). So, we know that they both had unstable home lives and... what else? Nothing. It's even a little unclear as to whether they knew that much about each other.

I don't remember him screaming reliable when he was given the task of watching Spike and tried to kill him, I do however remember him sceaming "I'll kill you for what you did to my mother"... or something to that effect. I don't remember him really doing anything reliable.

The relationship was totally manufactured and just didn't make any sense. It was like Willow/Kennedy but soooo much worse. They wanted to have the character with someone for the end of the show. At least with Willow they created a character for it, with Faith they just stuck her with what was available.

and what kind of realiable guy, jumps on the bed with faith, when she clearly was insecure, and emotionally needy.. she just handleed that the only way she knowed how to be close to a person..xander was a virgin horny teenager whe he did the same...but he has no excuse.. if he cared about her, he would started from the bottom to gain her trust and become friends..

They didn't have that many episodes with each other and when they did it was to get fleshy with one another. That's a kind of passion. Maybe they were thrown together by the situation but it was more than just horny teens getting it on. After Xander Faith didn't have anything to do with him, but with Wood there was still chemistry after the event.

Spike killed his mother. That situation had nothing to do with reliability...who was he to be loyal to...Buffy?...why?...he didn't care about her. That situation was about revenge and he proved reliable by sticking around after he had been humiliated by his mothers killer to help and save the world. He'd done what he had planned to do...find his mothers killer and try and seak revenge...he failed but stayed to help.

Faith has been known to be insecure but in Season 7 she was the least insecure we've seen her. In the Angel episodes she took charge of the situation around her and led Wes and the others to defeat Angelus and bring Angel back. That carried over to Buffy. She was strong and ready to lead the younger potentials into battle. In season 7 Faith had come to terms with what she had done and took responsibility for them. She'd more or less found herself...there's probably not a better time for her to start a serious relationship.

Wood was interested in Buffy because she was the Slayer. I don't think it was an attraction....yeah they went out on a date but Wood was just gathering information, trying to learn more about what his mother was about.

yeah, she gown up a lot since the beggining, but in the end she was still very insecure with men as in the begginig.. she don't trust them, she only saw them as "f*ck buddies".. and what i thinkl she needes was someone who showwed that relationships are more than sex, and that you can start slow, withouth jumping right on.. and wood failled on that one.. if he had waithed, and showed her he could wait for the right time when there was feelings more than a possible attraction involved, then yes, i would belive in this thing..but no, i still think of it the same way i saw "the zepp".. only this time wood were more persistent..

Just because they had sex straight off the bat doesn't mean they can't take it slow afterwards. They were in extreme condistions....the world was about to end and they were about to face down a load of Uber-vamps...emotions run high and people act on instict. Afterwards they could have looked more closely at what happened between them.

I can't help comparing this to Buffy and Spike's relationship. It was nothing but meaningless sex, but afterwards they looked at the emotions involved. Spike was there for Buffy whenever she needed him and they spent a night together..not having sex..but being a couple and connecting... (even though it kills me to say it being a bangel fan 😉)
