Buffy and Angel fans have been grousing for a while over the lack of crossovers between the two shows since Buffy moved to UPN last season. Well, the fans won't have to wait much longer. According to The Hollywood Reporter, rogue slayer Faith (Eliza Dushku) will be appearing in the final five episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and three episodes of Angel this season.
Dushku, who has had an active film career away from the Buffyverse, had long been rumored to be in talks to star in her own Buffy spinoff. When viewers last saw the character, she was cooling her stakes in prison with Angel helping her on the road to redemption. Little has been mentioned of the character since but she has remained a favorite subject of the fans. Little is known about her reappearance on both series but it is possible that it could open the door once again to a potential spinoff, possibly to launch after Buffy completes its run. Another rumor puts Faith into the role of the slayer if / when series star Sarah Michelle Gellar decides to leave the series. Either way, lock up your sons and arm your daughters. Faith is back in town.
