I would like to know how you guys preferred Faith to be...evil and twisted or good but still with an edge? I personally love her no matter what, she's been through so much and yeah went to a dark place for a while, but she came through it and sought redemption, to me she is just pure perfection...comments please x:mask:

I love Faith in S4 of Angel - to me that was the best she got. I love Faith's evolution as a character, how she grew and changed and took responsibility for her actions. To me it doesn't seem that she went from good to evil, but rather incorporated those two sides of herself into a whole that is better than what she was before.

Yes I want to watch Buffy -- I will get around to buying the DVDs soon
Well, first I wanna say welcome to Boofy-Boards and I love you fellow Faith lova! :driving: (Love that smiley!)

I love Faith because she's so diabolical, but at the same time nobody can kill her! But um, which "phase" I liked Faith best at? Probably when she woke up from a coma and was like vengeful and dark and grungy and awesome. I think it was when she crossed over to the Angel series and vice versa. Oh, and I liked her when she got out of prison because she brought back an earlier feeling that the first seasons had! I dunno, but to be honest - I like all of Faith!:smug:

I don't think I could have said it better. 🙂 Good analysis thevikingsgirl.

Thanks! :)
Faith Rocks

Thanks for the replies, well said all of you, she's had many good episodes and different character phases, she's an intense heroine who is constantly changing and evolving, she has a soft fragile side that you rarely see but when you do your heart goes out to her, she's an amazing slayer and a real women. I admire her strength and determination as well as her lust for life, love and a good time. I always pictured her and Angel getting it on, due to how wonderful he was when he took her under his wing, but on second thought she is way too fast paced for him. I wish Eliza Dushku had agreed to do a Faith spin instead of Tru Calling, as I believe it would have been interesting to delve further in to the complex character of Ms Faith Lehane.

I liked Faith in every season but i think i liked her the most in season 7. That whole issue of her telling Buffy she was jealous of her saw her open up and i liked her interaction with everyone.

I love her entire arc, I think I prefer her when she's good with an edge though... but boy, the girl does bad soo good. She is a treat to watch when she's bad but all in all, I think she's good at heart so it's nice when you get to see her struggle to get back to that.

I actually liked Faith in S3 of Buffy when she was working for the mayor. She was the bad guy you loved to hate, especially when she shot Angel. I thought reformed Faith was ok to watch but I liked her better as the rogue slayer.

I've only seen Angel. Right when she walked off the bus and beat that guy up, I knew I liked her! I'm glad she turned and came to be one of Angel's defenders.

Through out the episodes, she never lost that core personality which brought me to like her.

You've never watched Buffy!? Are you going to? Just curious :)
I like her when shes good with an edge!
When shes evil I can still see a hint of goodness
I feel kinda sorry for her because she wants to be loved & turns to the Prinpal
She seems like an outcast

I love Joss Whedon because none of his characters are all good or all bad, he deals in shades of gray. And all his very best characters - willow, faith, angel, spike, fred, wesley, lindsey, river, jane, topher, alpha - have you noticed all of his most dynamic characters are also the yummiest???? anyway - all of his best characters are the ones who dance between good and evil and you never know which side they will end up on in the end. That's what I've always loved about Whedon's shows.

Being a Faith fan, I really love her when she is good, bad (I love her relationship with The Mayor. Villains can have feeling too you know) and whatever in-between, I'll always love her if she keeps her "edge", but I do melt a bit when she shows her softer side, and I think I like her best in season 4 of Angel.

I can love Faith. I can loathe her. But that's what makes her character so great. She's a bit unpredictable yet still has a conscious.

I absolutly LOVE and ADORE all shades and facets of Faith! <3

She can be wicked evil, one of the good guys falling in line or the the slayer bent on redemption for her past while maintaining her edge and I lover her all the same. If I had to choose a character for her to continue on in the series it would be good slayer with an edge. While I love to watch her be bad, I really want to see more of her struggle for redemption and salvation.

Faith is a character that really grew on me. I wasn't all that excited when her character first appeared. I thought she would be a predictable bad girl but she quickly grew on me and is now one of the most complex and well developed of Joss' characters. One of the things about her which appeals to me is that she keeps fighting despite being one of the most alone characters.
