Assuming that Faith was the one to come back to Sunnydale instead of Spike, how do you think that the series might have run its course?

I think season six, especially would have been totally different. Buffy used Spike just to feel, if he hadn't been there I think she'd have probably gone insane, or something. The only male in the group other than Spike was Xander, and I think Anya would have gone Hell for leather if she tried anything with him. Buffy would have had to bottle things up even more, and wouldn't have been able to tell anyone that she'd been in Heaven. Season six would have been complicated at best. And then, season seven? Well, if Spike hadn't returned, he wouldn't have been chipped, let alone gone and got his soul. He wouldn't be the 'champion' in Chosen, and maybe they couldn't have defeated the First at all, without him. Screw the maybe, they'd all be dead without Spike.

Well why not? I think it would be intersting. But only if Faith is bad, and then they find the way to help her. But Buffy in Sanctuary wasn't in the help mood. Maybe that would be a nice chance for Angel to come back in Sunnydale and work with the Slayer. Not forever, just for the little while. But I would like too see Spike also, just as another Big Bad 😀

That would be interesting...i would be curious to see Faith's road of redemption if Buffy helped her.Well in season 6,i agree with you,Buffy would have gone crazy...or she would try other things to make her feel better...i don't know how it would turn out to be...

princessB we posted simultaneously!!!That would be a very intersting plot too!!!Angel would be back for a few episodes!!!

I'd love to see that. I wouldn't hope for Fuffy. But I'm sure Faith's storyline would be interesting. I'd love to see her and Scoobies playing hide and seek with the Sunnydale cops sometimes. And I want to see her and Buffy move on from the past and (at least)be friends again. And, whoa, maybe Wesley would stay in Sunny D as a watcher. 😀

About Buffy's resurrection. Maybe there wouldn't be her resurrection. Just kidding. 😛 I'm not sure if they would do it if there was already a Slayer in town(and Faith/Giles team would happen earlier 🙂). But if they would, I'm sure Faith will be the fifth part of the circle. And I agree with everyone that Buffy would have gone crazy or something.

Faith would have gotten a chip put in her brain that stopped her from hurting people. She'd begin reluctantly helping the Scoobies for money until it is eventually revealed that she has fallen in love with Buffy. She will eventually help protect Dawn from Glory, finally winning some respect from Buffy. After Buffy comes back from the dead, she begins sleeping with Faith just to feel something. Eventually, she stops doing this. Meanwhile, Faith discovers she can hit Buffy after she's come back from the dead and eventually tries to rape her. She does not succeed. Her shame causes her to leave to begin a journey of redemption. Upon returning, she's like a whole new person and by the end of the seventh season, Buffy finally tells Faith she loves her.

I love you, Joe.
I'm not sure how I'd picture the season to have gone had Faith been there instead of Spike but I think that Faith would not have been able to redeem herself, as easily, as she did had she stayed in Sunnydale.

For me, Buffy gave up on her. Faith needed Angel to pick her up every time she fell down and dust her off and keep telling her she can do it. I completely understand why Buffy would have struggled to do this herself, given everything that had happened. Maybe Giles could have been that person for her, but still not as effective as Angel was. Faith knew as well as we do, that Angel could and wanted to help her because he had been through it all before. Angel was the physical example that she really could do it, and I don't think that would have been there for her in Sunnydale.

Well, this wouldn't be as good as the original, but if it had to, I think it should go like this:

At the beginning of Season 4, Faith awakens from her coma in a sweat after dreaming that she kissed Buffy. She quickly escapes from the hospital and contemplates the reason her dream seemed so real. Was it just her imagination playing tricks on her or was it her Slayer visions trying to tell her something? She later discovers the tape Mayor Wilkins had left for her. She re-watches the video and then examines the device he had also left her. But instead of using the device on Buffy, she ultimately decides to use it on Giles, so she can see what Buffy is like when she isn't around. Faith captures Giles and leaves clues which point to a group of local vampires to distract Buffy, though Buffy believes it is Faith after discovering she had escaped. Faith locks Giles in a cave outside Sunnydale, drugs him, and completes the body switch. She returns frequently to prevent the true Giles from escaping. Faith, now disguised as Giles, returns to the gang and informs Buffy that he had slayed the vampires who took him. Buffy and the rest of the gang believe him straight away and continue life as normal. However, Faith's Slayer strength and skills had also been switched to Giles' body, so she has to fight to hold back when training with Buffy, as sometimes she would feel the urge to kill her as it would be very easy to do it disguised as Giles, but knows this is not how her plan is to work. Faith relishes in Buffy's sadness over Angel's departure and her horrible incident with Parker, but after discovering Buffy's happiness with Riley Finn, she decides to tear them apart by using Giles' magic books. However, Faith is terrible at magic and instead of removing Buffy's love for Riley, she accidentally removes Buffy's soul. With Buffy evil, she kills Parker, Riley's best friend, Forrest and Maggie Walsh in the span of two episodes. Faith originally loved the idea, because this is the Buffy she had always wanted her to be, but after realizing how very evil she had become, she reveals to the sadenned Willow and Xander that she had switched bodies with Giles. They are extremely angry and Xander wants to kill her, but knows he can't hurt Giles' body. She says she will give Giles' back, but she needs Willow's help to return Buffy's soul and to switch her and Giles' bodies back. Xander finds the soulless Buffy and talks to her, but after he mentions Faith was trying to kill her, Buffy quickly leaves before he can finish. She attempts to tracks down Faith, unknown to the fact that Giles is in Faith's body. The true Giles escapes after the drugs wear off, but is still too weak to make it back to Sunnydale. However, the evil Buffy finds him as he tries to explain that he is not Faith. Before he can tell her, Buffy lunges a stake at Faith's heart. However, Willow had completed Faith and Giles body switch five minutes ago, but since Faith's body was drugged, she could not explain what had happened. After stabbing her, Buffy's soul is restored and she realizes what she has done. She is sadenned that she had killed three people, aswell as Faith. Buffy says that she now understands how Faith feeled after killing a human and tells Faith she is sorry for everything, as she starts to cry. Faith also begins to cry as she weakly replies, "Don't worry about it B. We're even now. 5X5", and then dies. Buffy kisses her, picks up her body and heads back to Sunnydale

Well yeah, it's actually cooler if I had more time to put everything in, but I didn't have the time, so yeah, holler back at what you think.

I think that it would have been delightful for Buffy to become romantically involved with Faith. Now that would have made for some interesting tv.

I think Faith is too hardcore to have lasted four seasons as a main character. Spike, while depressed, has a lot of sarcastic wit as well, which evened it out.

Buffy and Faith become lovers. Spike falls in love with Dawn and get's his soul back to impress her. Everything else the same

Well if Faith and Buffy were to be together, Willow couldn't become a lesbian, that would be too much. And I'm not ready to take Fuffy if it's going to mean let Tillow go. Actually I couldn't care less about Fuffy.

Yeah, that why I don't hope for Fuffy too much. There will be too much. But I'll never lose this little hope because it's not over. (sw)
