Faith & Principal Wood

I really don't think that they ever had any more in common than Willow and Kennedy, maybe not even that much. it was just circumstances, pure and simple. Faith was wanting to break her long dry spell after prison, and Wood was quite obviously fixated on a replacement for his mother in the form of another Slayer, ANY Slayer. He came on to Buffy from the first moment that they met up until he discovered that she and Spike were an item whether they wanted to admit it or not. Then, as soon as Faith showed up, he was all over her. I'm not saying that there wasn't a certain amount of animal attraction there, but a long term relationship? No way.

oh ! I am dissapointed now! :(
Will they still be together ?

I hope so , I liked them together , well suited.

If you're not afraid of spoilers you can check out the black and white preview posted in the middle of the page HERE, and find out.

Basically, I wouldn't expect to see a wedding in the near future.

I didn't like them as a couple. He seemed too old for her.

I actually kind of see Faith as the person who gets into relationships and then accidentally ruins them. So I kind of have a feeling they won't last...(I didn't read the spoiler, though, so I don't know if I'm right or wrong.)

I also don't see Faith ever getting married. I actually don't really see Buffy getting married, either...

yeah i agree. i see issues that faith would carry throughout any relationship she had
Whether it would go anywhere or not, I've always sorta thought that Faith should give Xander another whirl, except this time for a bit more than just a one night stand. I think that they would make a good couple. They've both been somewhat overshadowed by Buffy and Willow, and they've both had to live with being "the other one," who either goes for the jelly doughnuts or backs up the REAL Slayer in the fight.

I don't see Faith really hooking up with anybody right now, cause I mean she's a free spirit and she's only about 23ish so she's still pretty young. I think she might settle down like years down the line but that's then

I did not like them as a couple. I just don't think Robin is right for Faith. I want Faith to match up with someone more her personality (minus the killer in her). Someone more along the lines of Kennedy. Just not Kennedy. Doesn't have to be a female or anything it was just an example. 🙂

I liked Robin with Faith, she needed someone like him at that time in her life. Plus he's hot.

I dont agree with that. Woods whole thing was trying to get Faith to accept all guys arent like the guys she's been with. Some can surprise you and stick around. And that she should try to give him a chance. Wasnt that the whole popint of her end of Buffy? If the two of them lived, they were to give it a shot?

I liked them together and hope it lasted

I didn't like Robin Wood because I he was written too arrogant and not expanded enough.

Having said that, I don't actually mind him and Faith together and I don't see a problem with his age either. Buffy was prepared to spend her life with a guy who is 200+ so anyone who uses the 'shes 23ish and hes older' think about it.

Age is not something atht should be an issue when two ADULTS wish to get together.

Im sure Faith was older than that anyway. Buffy was 23 but Faith was probably about 25ish. She definitely seemed older to me.

It's hard to tell about Faith's age. Emotionally speaking, she's definitely younger than Buffy. In "Faith, Hope, and Trick" Buffy called Faith her "new little sister," and in the episode where Buffy stabs Faith ("Graduation Day Part I"? Not sure), Faith says Buffy's "all dressed up in big sister's clothes." So even that doesn't help. I'd have to say they're probably about the same age, Faith possibly a year older or younger (I'd guess older, just based on her life experiences).

Just my thoughts.

As I recall, Wood's "surprise" involved "some men," being "pretty decent guys," or something like that. Sticking around wasn't either stated or hinted at, though Faith's sexual prowess (probably the only thing she felt superior to Buffy in) was mentioned as having been enthusiastic, but "not changing my world." At the best, Wood hinted that he could, in effect, change HER world with his fantastic technique. There was no real spark between the two. At the end, when she thought Wood had died, the expression on Faith's face was sorrow, but no more than it would have been for any other fallen comrade. There was no real love there. (Anyhow, I just never have been able to take seriously a man who claims to be "prettier" than a woman, especially a knockout like Faith.)

He is a little prettier then she is (coming from a female perspective.. and apparently Joss') 😛 Come on it was funny.
Who said anything about love? It was just the beginning of a possible relationship.
The surprise for Faith was that maybe Wood and other men she could be involved with were different from previous guys she'd slept with. This leads some of us to assume that Wood could stick around for longer then what it takes for a guy to orgasm 😛
Having said that I'll be interested to see if they are still together, or if they gave it a try. Faith deserves a love interest, she's never really had one besides messing with Buffy and Angel.

At least somone understood what I meant :p
I found this part of an interview with DB, he's such a honey! lol, but also sounds like a nice guy, here's what he thinks about Faith and Wood:

IGN TV: On the finale, you had one of the best fake out, non-deaths I’ve ever seen on TV. It worked so well; people I was watching it with were going "Aww!!" until you spoke.

Woodside: It’s a funny little short story. When we were filming that, Joss directed that episode, and he came over and he said, "You know something. I’m going to be really honest with you. I had a really hard time with your character because I kept going back and forth between ’He dies, no he doesn’t die… he dies… no, he doesn’t die.’" And he says, "You know what man, I just like your character too much. I can’t kill him off!" I said, "That works for me, Joss! I’m glad you like the guy so much." So he kind of wanted to make sure that Principal Robin Wood is around, hopefully for future shows, or a future movie, hopefully.

IGN TV: Do you think Wood is out there with Faith somewhere?

Woodside: Absolutely! Eliza and I have talked about this. Robin Wood and Faith are together out there in the world, probably fighting all the time with each other, as well as fighting vampires and demons.
