Hell, yes! But under two conditions:
1. Joss Whedon has to be the main man. I don't want a show with 'Whedon' written on it just because he's this superstar now. He has to be deeply involved.
2. It should pick up after Chosen, ignoring the comics.
Under those two conditions, the show will almost certainly never be made.
1. Joss is just too cotton picking busy, making too much money, to walk away from all that in order to make another TV series, no matter how successful he thinks (hopes) that it might be.
2. Eliza is an attractive woman, but she's closer to her mid 30's than early 20's, and I seriously doubt that she would be willing to pick up the role of Faith as she was back then. Faith at the time of "Chosen" was supposed to be no more than a couple of years past twenty, at the most.
Blasphemous as this might sound, there are more than a few people in Hollywood who could run the Buffyverse every bit as well as Joss ever could, just the same as Rick Bergman did with the "Star Trek" universe when Roddenberry was no longer able to do the show. We all have to face and accept the fact that Joss Whedon simply isn't going to be more than Executive Producer on anything like this.
Eliza would be far more believable playing Faith as a 25 to 30 year old woman than as someone barely out of her teens. Take the show about 5 0r 6 years past "Not Fade Away," and it would be much more believable. Part of the premise of the show could be that she is the oldest Slayer since the in the history of the Slayer line. There could even be a casual statement like, "Too bad B isn't around anymore to see how far we've come," to explain why Faith is now Mama Slayer to all the new generation of girls.
