Faith The Vampire-Slayer

It also occurs to me that this plotline (as described) would mean Angel saving Faith again. Treating her character like a helpless damsel in need of rescuing/salvation instead of a strong female in her own right.
How is Faith earning her redemption if Angel just hands her another chance?
 
Sorry, but this is a terrible idea. Why recycle yet another 'going evil' plot, and why do it with Faith who's already had that exact plot. And leaving aside that slayer to vampire is a massive step down...
Better to use this with Xander or Riley if anyone, somebody who's never actually done the whole 'going dark' thing.

(I would've suggested Giles if they hadn't killed him off. Ripper Giles as a vampire would've been a great Big bad for S9 and kept his character relevent. Bufyf's father figure turns against her now he is no longer needed.)
 
I don't like that idea.
Faith doesn't deserve to go through that kind of stuff, considering all of the other stuff she had to deal with in her life.
