Unless Giles is coming back in the last five episodes of the season, it can't be Faith. Giles is coming back next episode in January and the episodes with Faith can't possibly be until, at least, April.

She won't be on Buffy till April or May, but she's supposed to be on Angel sometime soon. There are supposed to be three eps in the middle of the season, so maybe Giles will come break her out of prison to help them defeat the big bad in LA. Just a thought, though

actually i thik i heard somewhere that Angel wnts Faith there for when Angelus comes out and about so that she can kill him if necessary. And the reason Faith not Buffy is b/c Buffy and Angel can't do crossovers anymore due to different networks.

Yep, Faith gets released after a inmate attacks her with a familiar looking knife(like the ones the Harbingers use). Faith pretty much wipes the floor with the inmate, then is released.
How Faith gets out exactly is something I'm not too exact on. I've heard some reports that she gets broken out by that girl Gwen, others that she gets released.
Either way, it makes sense she would look Angel up first.

We don't know which murders she confessed to. If she only confessed to the Mayor's aide, then she wouldn't likely get slammed too badly, since it could be proven it was an accident, which would be Man 2, which is about 3-8. Plus she was underage I think, so that could affect things.
