Fake Memories

Does anyone else kinda wish that the writers would have given us some fake Dawn memories? I mean, I know they wrote stuff like "I know she was always there" which we know is not true, but something more specific. Like, something we know that happened when Dawn was not there, and say she did something we really know didn't happen. For example, in School hard Joyce could've taken here to the parent teacher night, or, also a great opportunity for fake memory, something maybe Faith did to her. well, that sort of stuff.
So, does anyone else also kinda wish they had done that at some point or is it just me?

I think it would have been interesting to see how history changed instead of just assuming that Dawn was plunked into the middle of everything happening exactly the way it actually did. Obviously there would have been at least minor changes, but would anything semi-major have happened differently?

Oh, I can think of one that was different: remember Dawn talking about Buffy chasing her around the house while Dawn had chopsticks in her mouth and pretending to stake her? Obviously Dawn knew about Buffy being a Slayer before Joyce did. Which begs the question--in the having-Dawn reality, did Joyce find out sooner than she did in the real-reality?

It could be funny. Spike could have taken Dawn to Drusilla.. I dunno... But it's an idea

For some reason, I always imagine Angelus kidnapping Dawn, or at least attempting to. I would have ,iked to have seen 'Amends' with Dawn around. Faith got gifts for buffy and her mom, I always wonder what she might have gotten for Dawn.

That was the whole point of the Animated Series, it would have been a 4 year run covering the years before her arrival in the live action show.
