Fan Clubs and Member Groups

i wasnt sure if i should just make a thread for questions on fan clubs in that forum or not. i thought it might get put here anyway, and the only topic already in there was locked. im just kind of confused about what the fan clubs are for. can anyone give me an example of what a fan club might be? or how it might be used? is it kind of like an episode discussion group? or is it just kind of to pop in and say: hi, i love this episode? apologies for my confusion :silly:.
 
If you check out the Social Groups page you'll see some sample groups. Basically, it for creation of member clubs that could be about an actor or a character, or have some BB relevence like a Swedish members club or similar.
 
yeah, i saw those groups, but im still a bit confused. deep discussions are usually what threads are for, so are they just for quick comments?
 
so, for instance, i could make a group for anya/xander and just talk about how awesome they are and good moments and stuff? okay. i think ive got it now 🙂. thanks.
 
But what is then the difference between threads in the forum and member groups? Like, I think in the international forum we do have a thread for Swedish talk. Isn't that basically the same then?
 
That was just an example 😉 This feature is less about having actual topics (as there aren't threads in the groups so to speak) and more about just expressing your fandom. For the Swedish thing it could be to organize a meet-up.

I would suggest if people are confused, they pick a group to join and test it out. You can always leave the group later. This is something that's new for us too (at least in this format) so there isn't a extreme definition of what it should be.

You can always think to yourself, if this should be a thread, you should post a thread instead of in the group.
