This is an issue that I've been pondering for some time. Does anyone feel that the internet and emergence of fandom and fan culture has been to the detriment of TV and movie enjoyment?
Anyone familiar with Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Commentary will know Joss's song Heart(Broken). If you haven't heard it, have a listen, what he is saying is very interesting.

Does he have a point? Do the details we focus on stop us (and apparently him) from enjoying the experience of just liking a show?
In another thread I mentioned how I have real issues with Hart Hanson (creator of Bones). His interactions with fans are generally accompanied by a rather bad taste being left in your mouth.
Should interaction with fans be limited? Do we need to know what whoever's motivation was for whatever character/scene/show/movie?
I was a fan long before I found fandom and part of me enjoyed it more when I was oblivious to all of the interviews, blogs and rants.
