Okay, just wondering, does anybody post their fanfiction stories at fanfiction.net???


I'm wondering because I just have one story there, and it's in the 'scream' section (ofcourse) and I redid one of the chapters, but I don't know how to replace the origional chapter with the new one.
Please help!

Yep, I post there all the time, (although I had to remove some of my ficlets because of the anti-lyrics rule)...I'm working on a BTVS series right now though, i love posting there because it's so easy for people to find and access your work.

Anyways, if you want to replace one of your chapters...

1. Got to the homepage
2. Click on the "Log In" link at the top of the page.
3. Login (if you aren't already)
4. This should take you to your user section (where you can create stories, edit settings, etc...
5. Look to the left of the page, there is a link on the side called "Document Manager" click on it.
6. Upload your new chapter (you probably know how to do this, if you need help though send me a private message).
7. Once you have made any changes you may need to (to your new chapter) click the blue button at the bottom of the screen.
8. The page should reload.
9. Once it has reloaded, look to the left of the page, there is a link on the side called "(3) Edit Story" (right above "chapter manager"), click on it.
10. Select your story from the list that appears and click the blue button "Edit Story and Edit Chapter management"
11. Scroll down the page until you find the section called: "Replace the text of an existing chapter with new content"
12. Select the chapter you want to replace (this is chapter 1 for one-part fics)
13. Select the document you want to replace it with (choose the file you uploaded previously)
14. Click "Replace Chapter" and you're done! You new content should appear within the next 24 hours! 🙂

I've done that 2 times so far and nothing happened. I know it takes time, but I did it like 2 days ago?

But who knows. Maybe 3 times a charm. Thanks for replying. I've wanted to do a buffy story, but I can't do it. I'm not as creative as Joss or anybody who writes good buffy stories.

FanFiction is amazing to go to, some truly cracking stories in there.

I post myself on that but not in the Buffy Section.
