This was an idea suggested to me by my brother Col (aka Evil Uncle Col or Wobblycol) - feel free to use it elsewhere but please give him a credit (I'm sure it may not be original but I've never seen it before😉)
So, you are a promoter who has to organise a big music festival. It's over a weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday - 2 or 3 days: you choose). You can have any acts performing any style of music: money is no object and we can bring the dead back to perform (it's a complicated Wolfram and Hart contract - don't ask😉). You should aim for seven or eight acts per day (or more if you have more than one stage - like Glastonbury). Who gets to play?
Here's one I prepared earlier by way of an example -
OK - here's my Fantasy Festival. It's either a three-day event or a two-day one with two stages 🙂
First act is on earliest to last act on last - the headliners. The compere for the whole three days would be Billy Bragg (who would also do the occasional turn plus guesting with others)
Friday is ROCK! day
The Darkness
Kings of Leon
AC/DC
Queen (special guest David Bowie - you know which song😉)
Jimi Hendrix (guests Keith Richard and Paul McCartney)
The Clash (guests Billy Bragg and John Lydon)
Nirvana

The Rolling Stones ( guests Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page)
Saturday is CLASS ACT day
