Farscape rewatch

Thats great news. It's a bit slow at first but half way through season 1 it kicks into over drive.
The puppetry is brilliant and the Ailens look truly Alien. Even The Peacekeepers who are human aren't as they are literally cold blooded
It's all free on Amazon prime if you have that
I dont have Amazon Prime but YouTube works great for me as I can watch it on multiple devices.

I've just finished the fourth episode "Throne for a Loss," and I am totally hooked. Love the series so far! I have already laughed out loud more times in four episodes than most series make me laugh during the entire run. That is always a plus!

I really like the onscreen chemistry between the cast a lot, and so far Aeryn and Rygel are the standouts for me.

Aeryn knocking out John is always brilliant 😄

There are some good fun stand alones especially in the first half and Ben Browder real life wife is in Episode 21.

Fun fact: Rockne O'Bannon created Farscape, but he stole the idea of Moya from Star Trek: TNG. "Tin Man" was the episode, featuring a sentient ship called Gomtuu. It's interior looks EXACTLY like Moya, and sounds like her as well.

Tam, the Betazoid male who communicates telepathically with Gomtuu (and eventually leaves with the ship) is obviously the inspiration for Pilot.

I did not notice that! And I watched TNG and Farscape pretty close to each other. But I did watch Farscape first.

Ben's wife is also in S2 and 3 episodes; Look At The Princess and Scratch & Sniff respectively.

Making my way through S1 at the moment, some underrated 'alien of the week' ones. PK Tech Girl is a particular favorite of mine. Plus the DNA Mad Scientist is a pretty awesome looking baddie, that ep gets a bit dark.

The crew cutting off one of Pilots Arms to get a map is horrible. Crichton is appalled by it and even more so by Pilots lack of reaction. Its a great moment of TV
A Human Reaction you think at first is just a stand alone but is so much more later.
Through the Looking Glass is great too
I love A Bugs Life though I'm not sure its a stand alone

Iv reached Season 4. The first half of the season I remember being the weakest part of the show and after a bit of Googling I know why. It seems there was Studio interference by Syfy Network to change the show to appeal to WWF fans at the time 🤯
Thankfully the 2nd half is back to normal but it's still hard going.

Has anyone seen this deep dive by Rowan. The footage he uses by the actors is fascinating

Strangely enough I have the same feelings of Farscape S2 and S3 like Buffy

Season 2 of Farscape like Buffy has the best story line and some of the best episodes. With a perfect finale but it also has some filler episodes that are not needed imo.

Season 3 (like Buffy) as a whole is the better Season (only 1 bad episode in 22) But I think 2 has the better arc and development

I skipped ahead so the S3 Finale 2 Parter Into the Lions Den is great. Crais speech to Scorpius is pure gold.
While Harvey in his WW2 get up is hilarious 😂

The actual finale episode after it kind of like Restless with Prime evil, A Dog With 2 Bones is good but slower.
I think it's Dream moments are better than Restless though as that was more about a Directing exercise for Joss than actually advancing the story or doing any character development. Dog with 2 Bones does both.
Another great WTF ending too which Restless didn't have

I love A Bugs Life though I'm not sure its a stand alone.

I definitely count it as part of a trilogy, which includes Nerve and The Hidden Memory. Chiana grabbing Larraq's PK ident chip at the end of A Bug's Life is a good clue.

One more thing. When Moya did a reverse starburst, the explosion destroyed the Marauder and killed Virus/Larraq. So how did John end up wearing part of Larraq's uniform in S2?

Yes, D'Argo did say the Peacekeepers had left the uniforms John and Aeryn wore onboard. But I'm referring to the uniforms Larraq and his crew wore. 😄

John begging for Scorpius to stop as he's being tortured in Nerve is still a powerful moment

OK so I'm on Season 4 and there's 3 episodes that you can skip. They're pretty bad and have no impact on the main story. Skip Episodes 4 and 9 and 10. You will not miss anything. They're not even good stand alone either.
The second half of Season 4 is definitely superior to the first half. Where they ignored the network interference and got back to good ole Farscape stories
Plus the Scarran Emperor is awesome

So I'm now on the Peacekeeper Wars mini series.

To be frank if you'd taken out the whole To be Continued that is shown at the end of S4 it would've been a great way to end Farscape. Crichton saved Earth and stopped the Scarrans and was proposing to Aeyrn only for some random Alien to turn up and zap him. It works in such a Farscape way to end the show

Done the First Part of the Peacekeeper Wars, its fun and its great the show got this chance. That said it feels a bit rushed as they're essentially craming a whole half season worth of Story into an hour and 45 minutes.

This first part delights though. The reaction of Crichton and Aeyrn on who the surrogate mother for there baby is made me laugh 😆

@hoponlilmama @thetopher
So I finished the 2nd part of the Peacekeeper Wars. I think it's better than part 1 but definitely rushed. I also think the happy ending is a bit to unfarscape. I get why they did it but Crichton just destroyed a planet of people who'd helped him. You think the Billions of deaths might weigh on him ... guess not

Taking the stone is an interesting choice. I love seeing other people's choices 🙂

Gigi did such an incredible job in this. And I LOVED the kids, especially Molnon...he was a very amusing character, plus he got John completely stoned. 😅

Chiana's episodes are always interesting.
