Farscape

[Whirlwind]

Anyone else on this forum a Farscape fan (or Scaper)? Farscape is one of my holy trinity of shows, with Buffy and Angel being the other two. It has some of the most complex characters in all of sci-fi, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

I started watching it this spring and planned to watch it all during the summer. Sadly complications ruined that idea but I've watched some of it. The show grew on me a lot but some episodes bored me. Not sure when but I hope I can finish it some time.

I loved Farscape. I was so upset when it was cancelled. I've watched all the episodes. I loved the Peacekeeper Wars. It was a nice ending to the series, although I was surprised that they killed off a main character. The last episodes were a good explanation of where the Peacekeepers came from.

I was glad that Browder and Black went over onto Stargate SG - 1, but I did miss the banter with Jack and Daniel.

Not that I can afford them right now but I was checking out the dvd's. No subtitles on any version. That sure decides it for me. I won't be buying them. Sucks.

I watched Farscape here and there while it aired on the Sci-Fi channel. I really liked it. I was just too busy for me to keep up with it. I'm thinking I should give it another go.

I've watched an episode here and there. Never really tried to do a full watch. Was too busy watching "Andromeda" and "Stargate SG-1"

I'm curious though, why those living starships have no weaponry? And what's a "Starburst"? Is that some sort of warp drive or something?

Those living ships were called Leviathan's and they were made by the Builders to be ambassadors of peace so that's why they dont have weapons. Although the Peacekeepers manipulated Moya's pregnancy (the main ship) so that she gave birth to a Leviathan which had weaponary, that ship was called Talyn.

And yea, there Starburst is like warp drive.
