I don't believe I've ever seen a chav. Or maybe I have and we just call them something else in Australia.
It's pretty easy to spot a chav: they'll be wearing the customary uniform of sports-branded tracksuit bottoms; a hoodie (hood up, of course); a cap (under the hood, naturally), and trainers.
Girl-chavs will more than likely have their hair scraped back into a tight ponytail (AKA 'the Croydon facelift' with copious amounts of hair gel (more than Angel! 😱). They'll wear tacky gold hooped earrings and their face will be caked with more make-up than a clown.
Both boy and girl-chavs often wear sovereign rings, and the classic Burberry pattern is also a favourite.
