What are your fav Jesus movies? My favs: The Passion Of The Christ, Jesus Christ Superstar, and The Gospel Of John.

I always regretted not buying my very own buddy christ.... ::sigh::

But Dogma does have a very good theme about having ideas vs. belief structures...

For me it's "The Spirit of Christmas". It was made for some companies christmas party years and years ago. So many people thought that it was so funny, that it got turned into a TV show...called Southpark. It's like a 10 minute video that you can download here. It's in quicktime, and I warn people, it's got some pretty severe language. And some decapitations and stuff...pretty funny stuff!!! :chainsaw:

Although, I'm atheist, I'd say the best Jesus movie was probably Dogma. That movie was just plain cool!

Dogma... I want a buddy Christ. And Faldor is right... Monty Python's Life of Brian is absolutely brilliant. 😀

Best has to be Dogma with the Buddy Christ 😀

My hubby does the Buddy Christ pose to me all the time...LMAO puts me in stitches!!!

So Dogma for me too! 😀

I'm also on the Dogma bandwagon. I liked how they teamed the religious issues with the comedy in Kevin's style. Although raised Catholic I don't follow it now so tend to stay away from the movies. But a lot of points raised in this one were ones that I related to.

As for Buddy Christ's you can get them at Jay & Silent Bobs Secret Stash, Red Bank NJ 😉 Or online via http://www.viewaskew.com

I loved Dogma. Shame it got bashed so hard by some folk, they really could have learned something from it.

I have the Special Edition on DVD which I think i'm going to put on now. And it was amusing that the people that were against it, hadn't seen it and didn't know much about it. And most of the issue was because it was being released originally through Disney, as there is one group that always goes after them. And when it switched to another company that particular group died down. My source for this being Kevin himself on the 'Evening with Kevin Smith' DVD.

Also funny that he went and protested his own movie and ended up on the news being against it but 'liking Clerks' saying he gets told all the time he looks like the director.

Oh gawd that just kills me!!! 😀 😀

Life of Brian! Hehee, I almost forgot that one. Yes, of course Dogma. I love that. What's so funny is to watch it on comdey central when they have to edit the heck out of it. I don't know why I find it so entertaining.....

I hate it when they do that, why show it at all if they are going to hack it to pieces.

I know. And you hear the other person's voice come in. Like Jay has a very "distinct" voice, and then you'll hear "What the [insert squeaky high voice] flip [end of high voice] is up?"
