I think that "Wild Horses" by the Sundays is really beautiful... I've always thought so, but after it was in The Prom, well, it just became associated with all sorts of emotions for me.

Kindred, I was just about to say Wild Horses! Taking my idea ... p'shaw! 😉

Another would probably be My Immortal by Evanescence. I'm not sure it's a love song, but it is really beautiful and sweet and I like it. 😀

Hmm....I like a lot of slow songs that are actually more of the post-relationship weepy-weepy variety - Save Me by Queen, Valentine by The Old 97's, Tequilla Sunrise by The Eagles (I hate The Eagles, but that's a great song), The Wrong Man Was Convicted by Barenaked Ladies, Careless Whispers by George Michael - but there are some good love songs out there. Two that bear mentioning again are "Come What May" from Moulin Rouge! (as Lilah already mentioned) and the original, Barry Manilow version of Mandy.

I too have a big yen for love songs, but mostly for the really old stuff, so I am sure you've NEVER heard of the artist I am about to suggest to you, but back when she was singing (1979-1986) she could belt out a slow jam like no other.

Her name is STACY LATTISAW.

Her two biggest hits were "Let Me Be Your Angel", and "Love On A Two Way Street".

Her songs may seem sappy by today's standards, but they were the type that made a guy just grab his lady and dance, or vice versa. And the songs still have that effect. Her voice was angelic.

If you are so inclined, check those songs out online. Trust me...you'll love 'em.

I. like many others here, have never had the pleasure of hearing you sing, although I am quite sure you wail.
Good luck on your CD.

And, if you ever decide you want to pursue that as a possible career, then much luck to you there too.

Party On.

Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden and Written In The Stars by Leann Rimes and Elton John ooo and Signed Sealed Delivered Im Yours by Blue ft Stevie Wonder

I posted the lyrics for these in one of Rayne's threads - two of my favourites are "Love and Affection" by Joan Armatrading and "I'm not in love" by 10cc

I'm going to go with Trigger Happy Jack by Poe...*sniff* it's so beautiful...

Then there's my hubby's and my song...Don't Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith...

God, I could list great love songs FOREVER! There are so many beautiful ones out there...

Hate to say it but the one that best summed it up for me was actually Bring Me To Life by Evanescence
