Ok, so I haven't been on here for awhile, but I'm quite surprised at how well Rest In Peace is doing.

I can't help but find that song more and more dull every time I watch OMWF.
 
I thought that Going through the Motions was the song that worked best as far as "in combination with the action at the time" It also had a couple of good jokes thrown in.

1 She's not even half the girl she OWWWW

2. How can I repay..... Whatever.

Those are classic Buffy lines.

Add the Penetrate my heart and I just want to be alive stakings and you have some classic moments.

Musically it's all good.

I liked them all, they were awesome and I loved buffy so much. everytime I watch it I get a little man-ly tear rolling down my check.
 
Rest in Peace is the most obvious one, and I loved everything about it. Walk Through the Fire might be my favorite, though, because it works both the Spike-loving-Buffy angst and the Buffy-Back-From-Heaven issues. Next after those two would be Something to Sing About, because she's so obviously miserable, and the lyrics are heartwrenching. I also adore Where Do We Go; that's just such a good indicator of how lost everyone's feeling. When they do the hand-holding line and the let go and step away from each other--that always gets me.

I agree. Walk Through The Fire is my favorite too...but I really like Standing too 🙂
 
My hubby got the soundtrack for Christmas, and I find that when I listen to the music alone, without the video and story, different songs appeal to me than when I watch the episode. Very interesting!

No matter what...I don't like Giles song at all. I don't like the music, the words, or the way he sings it, and I think it was a bunch of BS. He shouldn't have left Buffy at that point, he was not holding her back, he was helping her through an impossible time in her life that she was unequipped to deal with. I don't care home much he sang and stressed over it. He was wrong to leave when he did, for the supposed reasons he did.

I also don't like Rest in Peace as much on it's own, but I really do like Buffy's songs a great deal on their own

I totally agree! When I listen to the CD on its own, I really like the Willow/Tara love song, which I don't like at all during the show. I think it has something to do with those silly sparkly effects, the dance moves, and the way-too-obvious and distracting safety harness on Tara.

On the CD, I also caught more of the fire hydrant song, and the "I'm not wearing underwear" line cracked me up. I hadn't really noticed that song during the show at all.
 
My favourite one is rest in peace by Spike and walk through the fire

hmm.. I didn't know there is a CD...
