Favorite Actors/Actress

Actors: Ewan McGregor, Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, James Marsden, Patrick Wilson, James Franco, Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Jason Bateman, Heath Ledger, Cillian Murphy, Jerry Orbach, Christian Bale, Tom Hardy.

Actresses: Vivien Leigh, Emma Stone, Judy Garland, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson Hannigan, Julianne Moore, Kate Winslet, Nicole Kidman, Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz, Rachel McAdams, Angela Lansbury, Amanda Seyfried.
 
I'd give any movie with Seth Rogen or Seth Green in it a shot. They are both hilarious, especially with 'Superbad' and 'Robot Chicken' respectively.
I am also very fond of Sarah Michelle Gellar (Not just because she is Buffy). If I find out she is in anything, I will inspect it (Though I'm sorry to say that the only thing I've seen her in that I like is still Buffy). The other stuff she's done aren't that interesting to me (Not because of her, but because of the plot of the movies).
My favorite voice actor is Frank Welker. The guy is amazing at anything he does. He's voiced over 100 characters on many, many different cartoons.
 
I have actors and actresses I love, but none make me go to every film there in because just because they are good, doesn't necessarily mean every film will be my type of film. That said, Leonardo DiCaprio being in something often makes me check it out (even if it's only on movie channels rather than in the cinema) as he's a great actor and always does good standard things- he's never in any crappy things.
But I like Greta Scacchi and have quite a few of her films on DVD and I also have quite a few Gerard Butler films (but that's for a whole other reason! Haha)
 
Hmm I think I'm gonna go with the actors I feel are most versatile. That's a quality I highly admire. Someone who really seems to become the character they're portraying rather than seeing the actor being that person. For example, I like keanu reeves but anything he's in I see Keanu playing whoever....

So, given that measuring stick I'd say:

Kevin Kline
Eric Bana
Hillary Swank

I typically won't see a movie because of a certain actor or actress as much as I would a director. However, I can sometimes predict the quality of movie based from the director than a particular actor/actress. But not always.

My favorite Director would be Martin Scorsese. He tells excellent stories and uses awesome film-making. He has basically made his own style for the longest time.

Another director who has their own style that I love and get excited about is Quintin Tarantino. He always makes something good. He has his own style and nails it everytime. I love how he typically is paying respects to older movies in the undertones of his new movies.

I also like Steven Spielberg. While I don't always love his movies. He always makes something grande and has the ability to bring a long into one movie.

As far as my favorite actors/actresses. My favorite actor for years has been Daniel Day-Lewis. He had me hooked in Gangs of New York. Then as I got older I realized he was the amazing lead in The Last Of The Mohicans. There are many movies of his that I love. I think its brilliant that he stays in character through the shooting of the movie.

Other actors would have to be Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael C. Hall, Edward Norton, Jack Nicholson.

I think I pick my comedies based off the actors in the leading roles for sure. Which would be Adam Sandler, Seth Rogan, and Jason Segal. There are a few others too, but typically those three.

As far as actresses go. I would have to say of lately Emma Watson, Alyson Hannigan, and Helena Bonham Carter
 
Yep ! Don't watch all the movies with them but quite a lot as I often like them !
