I'm not asking who your fav "BIG BAD" is? im asking which arc was your personal favorite on Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

Hard to choose, but I think I will have to go with Key/Joyce's Illness one-two-punch from season 5. I think one of the reasons 5 is my favorite season is because it's focused purely on the Summers women, Buffy as a hero and the Scoobies coming together as an adult family. And, despite the fact that I'm a big Bangel shipper, the lack of romance for Buffy this season is a big part of the appeal. Just Buffy and Dawn.

Following that, the Angelus and the Faith/Mayor arcs are very high up as well. Season 2-5 was definitely the show at its peak, despite the Initiative storyline, and even that wasn't so bad compared to...other things.

yes! agreed.
I went with s3, it's the one I connect with most. Season 2 and 5 are also great but I prefer
Faith's story arc.

It's tough, it was between 2, 3, and 5 for me.

But while 2 was my favorite season, I think 5 had the best arc. Hard to describe it in words, but the plot with the key made me want to keep watching the episodes to find out what happened next. Glory was probably the Big Bad it would scare me the most to be on their bad side. She's probably the most sadistic of them all.

I really dislike all the Big Bads which is why I chose six where the characters had to fight themselves. It was ugly but it was so human.

The season 2 arc for me. It's my favourite overall season because it built the story well of Buffy and Angel and their romantic demise. Angelus as the big bad and the conclusion; so heart breaking. I just love this season so much (currently doing a re-watch- just watched Passion earlier today- so sad).

Passion has always been one of my top-5 favorite episodes of Buffy
As far as arcs go, I agree with the consensus this time that 2, 3, and 5 were the best. I went with 5 (I know, I know) but 2 and 3 had great arcs, I'll admit.

Favourite full season arc, s3 hands down, fallowed by s5.

If were talking favourite character arc, I'd say Buffy s6, Willow s1-7, Faith s3, and Giles s2-3.

I'm inclined to pick season 3 too.
The Mayor and Faith is two great characters and it was great fun to follow them through out the season.

It's hard to ignore season 2 Angel turning into Angelus arc though.
That was surprising and brilliant in every way and they ended it in an amazing way. Just great stuff.

Yeah, it's a close call but I've already picked season 3 before I started writing this so... 😛

I went for five, as an arc, it's not my favorite season arc, but it's an arc that began in Season 3, and I think that's what makes Buffy and Angel so special, it breaks the mould for tv in a lot of ways, and the series spanning arc of Dawn with the end result being a heartbreaking episode is something that I think it's incredibly brave, clever and just great to watch.

I chose season 2.

Angelus was a epic big bad and allowed SMG and David Boreanaz to really show their acting skills.
Season 2 had a huge impact on me and I love how it was way more mature than the first season.
