Okay...I found the answer to my own question! 🙂 lol First there was, "At the Drive In". Then they split and part of the band formed, "Sparta" and the other, "Mars Volta". I own the Wiretap Scars cd from Sparta. I have heard "At the Drive In"...they rock pretty good and hard. I have on my "to do" list to listen to Mars Volta tonight!

My fave 3 bands are Black Sabbath (can't believe no-ones mentioned them yet), Nirvana and Metallica (in order). But I also like Led Zeppelin (they are joint third with Metallica), Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Iron Maiden.
I have a rather schizoprenic (or "eclectic", as one would normally put it) taste in music....as I will listen to pretty much anything from any era that catches my fancy.
