I'm surprised that Lilah hasn't started a poll yet, considering she has one for everything. 😉 So I figured I'd do it.

What's your favorite base in Angel the Series?

While I think the Hyperion is beautiful, I have to vote for the original AI office. I loved Angel's basement level living quarters with the elevator, sewer access, underground parking garage, etc. Besides, it's the season with Doyle, the original trio and I like the coziness of that. 🙂

I love poll's. I need to think up some more, lol. I was going to get around too it I mayb called Lilah but i'm not a she lol
The Hyperion, hands down. It just said "Angel Investigations" to me. The original office apartment was too crammed, you couldn't really practice combat in there. The same goes for Cordy's apartment, even though it was beautiful on its own. And W&H was too clinical. The Hyperion had it all, coziness but enough space to practice and to keep all the books in. Also, it was a beautiful set.

I loved Cordy's apartment, especially with Phantom Dennis involved, but it was never really a proper base. It always felt very temporary, unlike, say, Giles' apartment in Buffy. The Hyperion was just...Angel. It was large, old, and empty, but they made it home. I loved that there was always space to take people in. It really let them help the helpless, whereas Wolfram and Hart only really let them try and help themselves.

I have a bit of a soft spot for the original offices from S1, it had a feeling of "yhea were starting out, how d'you think were doing?" (if that made any sense) The Hyperion is a winner though (so glad to see it again After The Fall!) It was a beautiful set and just perfect for "Angel Investigations" it just had a feeling of home.

And as for W&H, yhea they had all those resources and contacts and departments and everything that ever existed in the world but I was to busy with "what the heck are they doing there" to notice all that. Plus it felt too... big. While the scooby gang are stopping apocalypses every few seconds Angel Investigations were all about helping the helpless... even though they still where the whole place just felt to major.

What's this about the Hyperion in After The Fall? I havent read it you see.
I'm gonna be a rebel and say W&H. I really like that season, and I thought it was cool how all the different members of the gang had their own special department 🙂 Season 5 was also the first season of Angel I saw, so when I think of Angel, I always think of the W&H building.
My second choice would be the original Angel Investigations office. It had a cosy feel, and was from another of my favourite seasons in the whole 'verse. It reminds me of the original AI trio, which I thought was awesome.
Unlike the majority of people I'm not a massive fan of the Hyperion Hotel. Probably because I didn't enjoy the seasons that happened there as much, especially Season 3.

The Hyperion. It's kinda too big, but it looks comfortable. You can work downstair and you just walk back to your room after work time. 😀 Plus, the history of it is great. Are You Now, or Have You Ever Been is one of my favorite episodes.

Hyperion. It was the longest base, and just felt right. Though, I do admit that the original offices had more of the Private Investigator offices feel to it. But the Hyperion made it more of a family base. And at that point, that's what they were. A semi-dysfunctional family.

semi? LOL
The introduction we get to The Hyperion is perfect. It's a fantastic set, it really is. All the action went on in there. I do wonder how they kept it for so long though, and there own apartments with no cash flow coming in.

I'm not the only poll BOY anymore, lol. Love you VisionGirl, who is a she and I'm a he, haha.

Oops sorry ROFL!!! Hard to keep track sometimes. :)
The hyperion by far for me. I just love it the setup and everything. I think it fits the Angel investigations team and it may be one of my favorite out of both the shows.

I will say I enjoy the first season and the original angel investigations office.

The Hyperion, wonderful building and gorgeous sets.

The first office and Cordy's apartment were just too cramped and Wolfram and Hart, well... evil ;P

The Hyperion gets my vote just ahead of the original offices. I liked the building, it was just a really luxurious solid base, where so much could happen. The original officesdidn't have as much an effect on me because it was a little on the small side and youcouldn't get the whole team in there working efficiently.

The Hyperion, because you could have had absolutely ANYTHING there. We know that there was a "big industrial kitchen" there, and a dance floor in the basement that covered an indoor pool (just imagine the gang unwinding down there after a hard night of demon fighting. Cordy could fix a big spotlight to shine on Angel, so that he would finally know what it would be like to lie around in the sun. Wes and Gunn arguing over how to properly grill hot dogs). Whatever they ever needed could have been there, just by opening another room. A gym, a bar, an infirmary for caring for the more severe wounds and injuries incurred on the job, Wes could have even set himself up an indoor target range in the bowling alley. The possibilities were absolutely endless.

Went with the Hotel. It was pretty and felt like home. I didn´t like the Ai office... I guess my second is W&H and 3rd Cordy´s apartment.

I picked Cordys apartment because I loved the scenes there, they all seemed to gel better when they were all stuck in there together it made it very funny!

This was hard because I love all the bases! I voted The Hyperion but the AI office holds a special place in my heart because of Doyle.

I voted for the original office above Angel's first LA apartment. For one thing it looked like an office as an office should look. There needed to be office decorum for the sake of the clients walking through the door; AI was a business even if the clients were not paying ones at first.

I liked that Angel's living space was below the office.

As much as I love The Hyperion, I have to say the first headquarters of AI. The Hyperion just didn't click with me like the office did.
