I dont care what anyone says, The Mayor is THE best Big Bad of the entire series.
He was down right evil, but funny, clean and 100% truthful

Harry Groener is a wonderful actor who did a fantastic job.

I would also place a second Vote for Snyder, Armin Shimmerman was fantastic too.
 
Ohh i Know Epo....

I mean i Love Faith and her progression in it, but its the Mayor that makes this season(Bad Guy Wise-i mean there are some magnificent stand alones here too, Wish, Dopplegangland, EarShot, Prom to name a few).

His character is brutally honest, the kind that we only see with Spike. yes he is Evil, but an ironic thing is, he has heart.
The way that he talks about his wife, the way he looks afterFaith, the fact, i do believe he, at one point, was an honest and decent man, but allowed circumstance to distract him, and change his life goals.

In more honest circumstances, this character would have been a valuble asset to the gang.......
 
i voted for vamp Willow as my favourite bad because i just thought she was funny and it was wicked to see a different side to Willow and what the writers thought she would be like if she was a vampire,and i must admit she was really cool and funny.she was also really confident which Willow lacks a little bit in the earlier seasons.

i also loved Faith and the Mayor,i thought the mayor was funny because he was always going on about germs.
 
I'm going to say Faith Lehane.

I say Faith because she had a side to her that I really enjoyed. I loved how she was classified as the 'rogue slayer'. She always had that attitude and wanted to jump right into things. I don't say she's the best slayer in the bunch, but she just had that bad girl side that was very effective.

I also loved how she turned, and went to the Mayor. When Buffy and Faith would have their moments and fight it out, that's cool in my eyes. I love Slayer Showdowns, though Kendra was an easy loss, I must admit.

If not Faith Lehane, I'd say Vamp Willow. She was really cool, I loved how in 'Doppelgangland' they used Vamp Willow and foreshadowed Willow being gay, it was a brilliant maneuver.

So, yes...Faith Lehane for me and runner up Vamp Willow!
 
I voted for Faith, just cuz shes my fav. character, and when she's evil, its rockin! I also liked Vamp Willow, she showed a really cool side of Red.
 
Vampire Williow, 'cause she really did something BIG in "Bronze" and stuff - she could do way more stuff, but... 😀
 
Definatley Faith. She was such a complex and many layered character. I love that kind of Villain. Plus I thought the whole rogue Slayer thing was such a great idea!

I voted Faith, as she is my favopurite character for reasons that many people have already stated on this thread and MANY others. You know why.

I must say season 3 had an awesome selection of big bads, I might even go as far to say the best selection....do you know what, I will. season 3 had the best selection of bad guys. The mayor was some character, as was mr trick. 'kinda gay' vamp willow was an unexpected villain. as was vampire xander whom doesnt appear to be on there! Anayanka...gotta love her.

I voted for The Mayor. He is the "Big Bad" in Season Three. Graduation Day Parts 1 and 2 are absolutely incredible. When he turns into the pure embodiment of Olvikan and the Seniors oppose him with a variety of weapons. That moment reminds you why you love Buffy.

I also liked Anyanka. I loved the way she looked, her power and the whole "Vengeance Demon" thing. She created the Wishverse where not only did we have Vampire Xander and Vampire Willow but The Master! I also enjoyed following her quest to find her necklace throughout the Season and then her becoming accustomed to human life right up until her death in "Chosen".

Faith...there's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said.
 
The Mayor

Definitely the Mayor. I really like his personality, and he was a nice change from the vampire big bads of seasons 1 and 2, especially since he could mess with the Scoobies in subtler ways than violence (like sending the cops after Faith and Buffy). Also, he was funny =)
 
i would say the mayor.. as much as i love faith i think the mayor played an awesome baddy.. i liked his personalilty.. he wasnt serious or anything lol...

My favorite big bad has to be the Mayor, probably my favorite for the entire seven years. There were bads who were bigger (at least until the last episode), and bigs who were badder, but none of them seemed to get such almost boyish pleasure in actually BEING the big bad, except for maybe Spike, but he will ALWAYS be the BIG BAD.
 
I agree with Lilah, Gwendolyn Post was really great... unfortunately it was a single-episode thing 🙁

So I voted for Faith since we see so much more of her... she's a great villain, I think I liked her evil rather than good... it was pretty much just like having another Buffy for a while, and as much as I like Buffy, I think we only need one.
