Favorite Btvs/Ats Scenes?

So, we have the "favorite quotes" thread, so why not have one for your favorite scenes? 😀

Well, in first place I have two scenes that make me cry and fill me with this love all at the same time. 🙂 Those aree....

The Willow/Xander scene in Grave, and the Darla/Angel/staking herself scene in Lullaby.

Willow & Xander: I do believe that friendship love far surpasses romantic love. Guys/Girls come and go, but friends are their to support you for life. 🙂 I think it's nice symbolism that the love of her best and oldest friend is what brought her back. Aww, Xander and Willow friendship is the best. 🙂 Plus, that scene is just BEAUTIFUL. She's trying to be evil, trying to hate, trying to hurt him with nonchalance, but his unconditional love for her overpowers all her hate and anger, and she falls sobbing into his arms. So amazing. 🙂

Next, the famous scene of Darla staking herself... Everything about it was simply ah-maze-ing. Starts off with no hope, the rain pouring down, and a feel of completely loss in your heart. Fred stays and is crying, for the sake of those who couldn't. Darla and Angel are together, and it's like everything else melts into the background. Looking back on all the terrible things they did together, Darla practically telling him she loves him, Angel holding and kissing her hand... "This child was the one good thing we did together", the pure and raw emotion... Brilliant acting as well. You can really feel all the pain and regret there. And then, Darla, stakes herself. Darla, the vampire who was almost comical in Buffy ("Bad hair on top of that outfit?"). Darla, the terrified and innocent yet still in control human in S2 Angel. The prostitute Darla back in the 1600's. The completely evil yet adorable high-maintenance vamp back from the 1600's to 2000. Darla, who had apparently never loved anything before, died so her son could live. The ultimate sacrifice. And her hand completely disappears right in Angel's grasp. Gone forever. But, the scene's still not over. No, right after this saddening death that at the same time makes me so proud of my Darla girl, we have Holtz come to kill them with a crossbow, fire blazing behind in. Whew! Talk about jumping themes. 😀 But, seeing Angel with his child, let's him pass.

Seriously, what amazing scenes, those BOTH deserve rounds of applause. 😀

Now, to my favorite romantic scenes:

Well, I have two: One of them is in Hush, towards the very end. Tara and Willow have caught up with each other, and are chatting about magic. Then, jumping right to my favorite romantic quote ever, Willow said "I'm definitely nothing special", and Tara replies, "No you are". And then they both smile, and you can tell that there's something there, something beautiful. *Sighs* I love Tillow...

You guys probably know what the next one is gonna be! 😀 This scene has been more or less my FAVORITE romantic scene EVER for a long long time, so I'm not gonna change it now just because of recent developments. 🙂 So, with no further ado, I present to you... Touched, the spuffy holding scene. In each others' arms, staring into each others' eyes... Even a Bangel has to admit that that's a beautiful scene full of love and sweetness. 🙂

Funniest scene:

Well, normally I'd say the award goes to either the Cavemen vs. Astronauts debate in a Hole in the World, or maybe the slow motion punching scene in TGIQ, but now I'm thinking...

Nightmares, Buffy S1, when Cordy, with humongous frizzy hair, is being dragged down the hallway and into a room while wailing "But I don't wanna go!! I'm not even ON the chessteam, I swear!" Hah! Really, has to be the funniest thing I ever did see. 😀

oh my! this is a big task... off the top of my head, I'd say... (and I'm going to do quotes, too, because they're a huge part of what make me love these moments...)

Buffy:

S1:

1. I love the part in "The Pack" Where Xander and his new gang are walking up the steps towards the camera in slow-mo. They all just look so frikkin cool.

2. In "Teacher's Pet" when Xander is at the teacher's house being seduced, and her hands turn into the praying mantis', and he's feeling the effects of being drugged. He says something along the lines of "Your hands are so... serrated" haha I just LOVE that. So hilarious.

3. Snyder in "Puppet Show" - "Kids today need discipline. That's an unpopular word these days, 'discipline'. I know Principal Flutie would have said, 'Kids need understanding. Kids are human beings.' That's the kind of woolly-headed, liberal thinking that leads to being eaten."


S2:

1. In the Ep. "Halloween" where Buffy and Willow are trying to steal Giles' info on Angel, and Buffy's trying to distract him. And she's telling him he needs to get a hobby, and he says "I have many relaxing hobbies... I enjoy Cross-Referencing..." OMG such a priceless moment. I laugh endlessly every time he says it. What a fun guy.

2. In "Innocence" where Buffy kicks Angelus in the balls. What a fantastic scene. Grrrrrrrrl power!

3. At the end of "I Only Have Eyes for You" when the spell is broken, and Buffy pulls away thinking for a split second that maybe Angel is back. And just the way his face changes from contentment to Anger in Disgust. Incredibly well acted and powerful. My heart breaks every time.

4. Obviously "Becoming pt. 1 and 2" are just incredibly written episodes. Too many great scenes to mention. It's all great.


S3:

1. "Beauty and the Beasts" is a powerful episode. Especially the moment at the end after Angel has saved Buffy, and falls to his knees and puts his arms around her in desperation. The look on her face is... wow. Some of her best acting.

2. All of "Zeppo". One of the most flawless, and well played out episodes ever.

3. Of course In "Graduation Day" where Angel drinks from Buffy and they collapse to the floor. So powerful, so sexual. Blows my face off every time.


S4:

1. In "Living Conditions" where Xander and Oz are watching Buffy, and they look at eachother and question whether or not they tied the rope tight enough. And then they look at Buffy, and she has that evil look on her face. Haha, priceless.

2. "Pangs" is another episode that it perfect from beginning to end. Some of my favorite bits are how everyone says "It's Angel! HE'S EVIL AGAIN!" as soon as he pops up. It's hilarious. Poor Angel. And then when the native americans are shooting arows into Giles' home, and Spike has like six of them in his body, and Buffy and Giles are hiding saying how they need to come up with a plan, and the way Spike says "Yes, let's talk about this some more..." haha oh man. And at the dinner table, Xander putting his arm around Anya and saying "I think my Siphilis is clearing up..." with that stupid grin on his face.

3. And lastly, from "Pangs" the look Spike has on his face at the very end once Xander's let it slip that Angel was around. Seriously... best thing ever.

4. The fight scene between Buffy and Adam in "Primeval". Heavy duty awesome.

5. "Restless" has so much incredible imagery in it. This is why I love Season 4 so much. So so much.

6. And I forget what episode, but the fight scene between Xander and Harmony. Pure comedic brilliance.

S5:

1. In "The Replacement" when the two Xanders are getting to know eachother, and laughing at stupid jokes. Giles says something like "He's clearly a bad influence on himself" haha... it's just funny to think about.

2. "The Gift". Period.

and I'm exhuasted... so I'll move on to Angel and maybe finish Buffy later.



And from Angel:

S1:

1. From "Lonely Hearts", the montage-type scene with the music in the background, while the demon jumps from body to body as Angel and the gang search him out and Kate is investigating Angel. It's just a genuinely well played out scene with incredible music.

2. From "Expecting" When Angel and Wes are trying to find the "Big Baby" demon from Cordy's vision, and Wes busts in on the old couple with his crossbow, shouting "DEMON SPAWN! WHERE DO YOU LAY YOUR EGGS?!!!" and they're just looking at him. Meanwhile Angel can't go in, cuz he hasn't been invited and he's looking around all confused, until he realizes they're at the wrong address. So he tries to cover it up with a story about Termites. "Yep, we hunt Termites, wherever they may roam". This KILLS me every time! Just thinking about it from the perspective of the old couple. Like... wtf is he gonna do with a crossbow?!!!!! shoot at the termites?!!!


S2.

1. The last four episodes, in Pylea. Especially when Lorne takes Angel to his old home, and introduces his "Mother" to him, and Angel has that confused look on his face, and mouths "Mom?" in disbelief. Meanwhile Lorne's brother is dancing in the background, and his mum says the classic line "Your father was right... we ate the wrong son".


S4.

1. "Habeas Corpses" is just a horrifyingly wonderful ep. The Beast is EXCELLENT! Scares the crap out of me, but I love everything about it.

And there's more, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

 

[Bungle Jerry]

One scene that pops into my head that grabs me everytime is in "Listening to Fear", where Buffy turns up the radio to drown out her mother's babbling, and just breaks down, bawling like a baby while washing dishes, and all the while the radio is blaring this comically inappropriate Latin music. There's just something about that scene that is real in a way scripted drama never is.

 

[Tome]

There's so many scenes I like in both shows... hard to name just one or two!

I love the whole scene in Band Candy in the factory when they chase Ethan and Buffy interrogate him with Giles cheering 🙂

Also, the scene in Tough Love where Willow is pissed off and throw everything at Glory.

The scene at the end of Amends when Angel and Buffy argue on the edge. That's always awesome to watch!

As Jerry said, the whole massacre going on in W&H in Habeas Corpses and Angel and CO going in and running through the corpses was creepy as hell and memorable for me.

Slow motion fight scene at the beginning of New World with the gang against Connor, haha funny how Gunn call him Peter Pan.

Puppet Angel in my avatar picture 🙂 I love how he tells them 'Let's take out some puppets' and then the fight scene was great, I laughed my ass off when he turned into a vampire.

Angel going to see Cordy and Wes at the hospital in To Shanshu in LA, telling Cordelia he need her and he'll get her back, and then the confrontation with Kate. Finally Angel told her to stfu.

 

[Vengeance]

Just a few off the top of my head..

The scene in Prophecy Girl where Buffy overhears Giles telling Angel about the prophecy.

The library scene in Earshot where Buffy can hear everyone's thoughts.

The scene where Xander declares his love for Anya.

Well there are really so many scenes I love. I will just mention what first comes to mind!

BtVs

Innocence :Buffy against the Judge. Her look, her words and her determination make an excellent scene. Also, in the same episode, the flashback-dream bangel scene!!!:biggrin3:

Amends : The dialogue between Angel and Buffy on that hill.

The Yoko Factor : The whole "Angel I wanna talk to you" scene. The argument and then the laugh!!!

Angel : The kiss in the end of the episode and the burning cross on his chest.

The Gift : The first scene..."but you're just a girl-I keep saying that". I think it shows everything Buffy stands for. Just a girl, with enormous physical and emotional power. Also the scene where she talks to Giles about her mother and Angel. And of course the magnificent scene, where Buffy has that serene look on her face. Like she knows that it is finished, that her duty is complete.

Helpless : Angel telling her about the first time he saw her.

Bargaining: Buffy asking if she is in Hell. How sad can this be?:cry3:

After Life : "every night I save you"

Normal Again: Buffy waking up from her illusion, leaving her mother and the doctors " we lost her". Also, when she says that she wants to stay with her mom.

Grave: Willow and Xander...enough said.

Chosen : The final fight...Buffy falling, Faith leading with the Scythe, Buffy rising again and kicks ass along with all the Slayers.

Angel

I will remember you : I love absolutely every scene.:biggrin3:

City of : Angel inside Wolfram and Hart kicking the chair with the vampire on it out of the window. "Can you fly?"

Trial: Angel out of his mind when they don't give Darla a new life.

Epiphany: Angel saving Kate.

Salvage: "step away from the glass"...and the fight vs The Beast.

Release : Faith vs Angelus.

Orpheus : Wes carrying Faith...
Faith waking up and kicking Connor's ass. Angel vs Angelus.

Origin: I learned that from my father.

The scenes with Spike and Illyria(don't remember the episodes)..."you filthy harlot" and "no touching my clipboard"

The scene where Angel explains them his plan in s5, and SPike raises his hand first. Also in Not Fade Away "let's get to work"

1. Buffy cheering in Witch - that always makes me laugh.
2. Buffy/Giles scene in Prophecy Girl.
3. Angel putting him game face on in Reptile Boy.
4. Scene in the skating rink in WML Pt.1

6. Buffy taking care of Angel in Ted - that was so ordinary.

9. Buffy/Cordy scene in the house in the woods.

there are a lot of scenes that I love - but what I reallylove and sometimes rewind just to see again are the fight scenes.

Both on Buffy and Angel I just can't get enough of that ass-kicking.

Some favorites are:
1. Any fight between Buffy and Faith.
2. Vamp against vamp on Angel's Somnambulist"
3. Buffy and Angelus in "Becoming", or anytime really...
4. Connor's fights never gets old.
5. Angel against Hamilton
6. Faith and Angel in "Five by five"

The Pack- "Willow... Willow..." This scared the CRAP out of of me when I was younger.
Nightmarers: When Xander punches the clown. He's just like: "Why am I running? It's a friggin clown." LOL
Prophecy Girl: Buffy overhearing Giles and Angel's convo. Oh so sad...
BS2:
Innocence: Willow walking toward Angelus, and Xander realizing that something is wrong.
Passion: Jenny's death, and Giles seeing her body, and Giles revenge scenes, and Willow breaking down after the phone call, and Buffy punching Giles. God, just the whole damn episode!
Killed By Death: lol, when Kinderstod walks by the door. *shivers*
Becoming: Starting at Angel's re-ensouling, to the end. Epic sadness.
BS3:
Anne: "I'm Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, and you are?
Beauty and the Beasts: Oz wolfing out. Gives me the shivers every time.
Band Candy: Like everyone else has said, Buffy threatening Ethan and Giles cheering her on.
The Wish: Every death in this epy.
Helpless: When I say "Buffy's a badass" in the context of this episode, I think you know what I mean,
The Zeppo: LOL when Xander walks in on Buffy and Angel. HILARIOUS! And when that dude defuses the bomb at the end... "Good boy"
Doppelgangland: "Could a human do this?" Willow yells and the bad guys are all like, "Yeah, humans do that."
The Prom: The Class Protector award.
Grad. Day Pt. 1: The scene when the Mayor is in the library. That was intense! Oh, yeah, and Buffy vs. Faith. 😛

The Freshman: Buffy going crazy 😛
Xander vs. Harmony Slapfest!!! I literally lol'ed really hard when I saw this part."
Wild at Heart: Veruca attacking Willow. Wtf yo!
Pangs: "You made a bear! Undo it! Undo it!" Pretty much all of Spike's banter in this epy.
Hush: Tillow's first spell together. 🙂 I love when Buffy tells Riley to break the box and he breaks the wrong one! And really, pretty much the whole episode.
Doomed: "Friend of Xanderrr's"
Where the Wild Things Are: "Yeah? You smell sin? Well let me tell you something, lady, she who smelt it dealt it!"
New Moon Rising: Oz and Tara's confrontation.
The Yoko Factor: Riley vs. Angel. Nuff said.

Family: The Scoobies vs. Tara's family.
Listening to Fear: Buffy's turning up of the music and crying. Then Dawn yelling for her and she's like "Beat Mode! On!"
Into the Woods: Riley in the helicopter. Sadness... 🙁
Triangle: "I wish Buffy was here" "I wish I had a million dollars"
Checkpoint: Buffy's speech to the council and... "Willow's a demon!"
The Body: "They said not to touch the body!" I'm not afraid to admit that I friggin broke down when she said that. The was the peak of a phenomenal episode.
Tough Love: Willow vs. Glory. That was legit!
Spiral: RV vs. those Knights that I forgot the names of.
The Gift: I think my favorite part was when Willow mind-talks to Spike to run up the stairs and Willow and Tara hold hands to move the people. Then Spike running up the stairs. Really epic stuff.
BS6:
Afterlife: Buffy revealing to Spike that she was in heaven.
OMWF: The whole thing. 🙂 Specifically when Buffy reveals to everyone that she was in heaven.
Tabula Rasa: "You were right... That was the wrong book." Haha! That was just the first quote that came to mind. 😛 Probably the funniest part is the whole, "Randy Giles?!?"
Smashed: The house breaking down.
Wrecked: Dawn's slap of Willow.
Entropy: Xander's almost killage of Spike.
Villains: Willow's killage of Warren. That whole scene is intense, but the flaying part is just, woh... Every time I watch I'm just thinking, "holy crap holy crap"
Two To Go: "I'd like to test that theory."
Grave: Xander saving Willow (and the world).
BS7:
Lessons: The Big Bad stuff.
Same Time Same Place: The peeling of the skin. Eww.
Help: It's so sad that that girl still dies even after everything Buffy did to help her...
Selfless: The sword through Anya's chest.
Him: LOL I love this episode so much! Seriously every line makes me crack up, but I think my favorite part is when Buffy has the rocket launcher aimed at Principal Wood. The music and Spike's grunting and the way Spike runs away. The whole thing's hilarious.
Conversations With Dead People: Willow talking to Tara (or, she thinks it's Tara). I cried a little bit and my sister (who has only watched a couple episodes) is like "are you crying!?" Part of me was embarrassed. The other part wanted to punch her in the face because she wasn't crying.
Willow realizing that that's not Tara who's talking to her.
Dawn's fight against The First and "mother's milk is red today." This episode stands as one of my favorites.
Never Leave Me: When Spike takes Andrew through the wall.
Potential: Xander and Dawn's conversation...
First Date: "I don't understand a word any of you are saying." Lol, all of Chao-Ahn's dialogue. 😛
Storyteller: "Buffy. Slayer of: the vampyres." "We are as Gods!"
Lies My Parents Told Me: Wood vs. Spike
Dirty Girls: Xander's eye pokeage. And for some reason I love Spike's reaction to this, and how he saves Xander by knocking Caleb away. Idk why.
Chosen: All of it. Literally.
BS8:
The Long Way Home: "I'd like to test that theory" 🙂
No Future For You: Genevieve's death. 🙁 Sadness.
Wolves at the Gate: Batsu?!? 😱
Renee!
Buffy: I'm not leaving Xander alone. Dracula: He's not alone.
