Favorite Buffy book author?

Who is your favorite?

Who is the author that most closely keeps true to the spirit of the show by being witty but emotional at the same time?

I've read quite a few, can't recall the names, that were so abysmal, its as if the author just wanted to focus on the witty sarcastic one-liners and nothing else.

I haven't read all that many of the books I suppose, or at least the ones I read it was a long time ago... but I do recall that my favorites were always Christopher Golden and those were the ones I kept in the long run. I really like his style of writing and I always felt he got the characters in ways that other authors didn't seem to.

I think the authors who really captured the spirit of the show and characters were Chrisptoher Golden and Nancy Holder. I love their books the best.

I agree; these two are my favorites, and they seem to "get" the characters the most.
