What are your favorite Buffy crying moments? My heart always breaks when she cries about her relationship with Angel in "The Prom" the one where she's with Willow

Buffy crying moments that come to mind:

-In her bedroom when she realizes Angelus is here to stay and she takes her Claddagh ring off in "Innocence"
-Crying at the end of "Becoming: Part II"
-Crying with Willow after Angel breaks up with her in "The Prom"
-The end of "I Will Remember You". That was awful
-Crying at the sink in "Listening To Fear"
-The single tear when she sees Spike after he regains his soul

When Angel breaks up with her in the sewers.
The end of I Will Remember You.
And yeah, when she realizes Spike got his soul.

There are many moments when she cries that really get me! But the ultimate one for me is by the sink in Listening to Fear - its just heartbreaking and really jars against the excessively happy music on the radio! It is an intense moment and one that is so painful to watch!

Her face after she says "we're not supposed to move the body" in The Body is so powerful. Although she doesn't break down crying here, just look at her eyes filled with tears and her expression. The shock is so evident and it really gets to me.

This is definitely mine!

The tears in The Body was probably my #1. Two other favorites of mine were when she cried in 'Normal Again' while wondering if she was still in the mental clinic and her crying at the end of 'Dead Things' while she's talking to Tara.

This is the ultimate one for me, too.

Also like the scene where she breaks down on Tara in Dead Things.

This one is great too ... "It's wrong. I'm wrong. Tell me that I'm wrong, please... Please don't forgive me"

I also get really emotional at the end of Forever, when Buffy and Dawn have that conversation and end up falling in each other's arms. SMG's performance here is outstanding, first-class:

BUFFY: Dawn ... I've been ... working. I've been busy, because I have to-
DAWN: No! You've been avoiding me.
BUFFY: I'm not! ... I have to do these things, 'cause ... 'cause when I stop, then she's really gone. And I'm trying. Dawn, I am, I am really trying to take care of things, but I don't even know what I'm doing. Mom always knew.
DAWN: Nobody's asking you to be Mom.
BUFFY: Well, who's gonna be if I'm not? Huh, Dawn? Have you even thought about that? Who's gonna make things better? Who's gonna take care of us?

The way she says "Who's gonna take care of us?" - it gives me chills every time.

Agreed. that was in my choices, too :)
*When she collapses into her bed in "Innocence", crying over Angel. All I can ever do while watching this scene is cry with her. Her pain is obvious, and you can feel it as you watch her curl up into a ball and cry.
*When she cries in Willow's arms over Angel dumping her in "The Prom". I think every teenage girl in the world knows the pain of breaking up with your first love....and having your best friend get you through it.
*Crying at the sink in "Listening to Fear"... This scene is always so sad to me. I know the feeling of trying so hard to make everyone around you think that you're strong, and being afraid to show emotions until one day you just break.
*Her face when she stares at her mom's body as Giles holds her in "The Body"... She's not full-on crying, but the tears in her eyes and the pain on her face is excruciatingly hard to watch without getting emotional.
*Her tears when she's telling Tara about her and Spike in "Dead Things". She was literally terrified of herself and the emotions she felt for him, and it showed in this scene.

All of these are so great, and heartrending.

But I'm a Bangel, so it's gotta be IWRY. "I'll never forget, I'll never forget!" And with the strength of that, I really thought it might be true, I thought that at some point she would remember. But here we are, all those years later, and she hasn't. 🙁

From "Fool For Love," when Buffy is sitting on the back steps after learning that her mother was going to have surgery. Spike, abandoning his plan to shoot her, asks what is wrong. She looks at him and says, "I don't want to talk about it." Not actually crying, I don't think, but definitely a heart broken Slayer. The first true Spuffy moment, and it was beautiful.

I have a few.

The Prom: Buffy crying on Willow's lap; I can't breathe, Will. I feel like I can't breathe

Dead Things: I know everyone is mentioning her conversation with Tara later on, but what about the alley scene where she's beating Spike? I know she's not technically crying here, but her eyes are tearing up, and I thinks she's fighting the urge to.

Forever: Totally agreed, here. Buffy and Dawn sink to the floor, crying and hugging eachother after Dawn tried to bring Joyce back. So sad.

Lie To Me: Are you trying to get yourself killed?! You can't leave me. God, this always kills me. Buffy is clutching Giles so tight, and they're leaning on eachother, physically and emotionally...it's a great scene.

Crying Buffy kills me, honestly. I can't even stand it. I feel for her so much...

Hey Joan, that's actually at the end of "Passion", not "Lie To Me". 😛 But I agree, that scene was devastating.

Oh yes, this one always gets to me a bit more than most scenes.
I know I already answered but lets call this one a very close second. 🙂
