I added Chosen, although I know it's difficult not to think about it as just a season finale. So, answer the poll, then number them from 7-1 here in your post.

I first need to say that there is not one finale that I dislike, not one. But some I like more than others. So, for me:

7. Grave
6. Restless
5. Prophecy Girl
4. Becoming Part 2
3. Chosen
2. Graduation Day Part 2
1. The Gift
 
1. The gift: perfect episode, and in my opinion, if the show was over after that, it would have been a wonderful closure for Buffy!
2. Graduation pt2: The mayor, the High School going boom, Angel drinking Buffy, the dream sequence, the fight with all the students...it's amazing!
3. Becoming pt2: It was beautiful and so sad, Buffy was alone and lost, and she had to kill her lover when he was good again...Joyce discovering the truth about her daughter, Spike talking about his love of the world...And the end is absolutely beautiful!
4. Chosen: Buffy knowing they are going to win, Willow going all godessy, the power of the Slayer line going into every potential, breaking the rules of ancient men...And! The "I want you to get out of my face line!"
5. Restless: very good and creative episode, nice and original way to end a season.
6. Grave: End of Dark Willow, Xander heroic moment (I love the fact that for once, it's the guy without any power who saved the world), Buffy deciding to learn Dawn how to fight...
7. Prophecy girl: Nice episode, but my least favourite final. Just absolutely love the "I'm only 16, Giles, I don't want to die"! And the white dress! Also, Buffy knocking Giles out so he won't go the Master instead of her. And Cordy and her car was something, I'm telling you!
 
I'm gonna be different and say that Restless is my favourite finale. It's such a rich episode with so many layers, every time I watch it I find something new to love.

So my order of preference:

1. Restless
2. Graduation Day
3. The Gift
4. Chosen
5. Grave
6. Becoming
7. Prophecy Girl
 
Aww, my hand clicked Graduation Day without thinking. Actually, The Gift is the best is the best.

Mine would go like this:

1. The Gift
2. Graduation Day
3. Becoming
4. Chosen
5. Grave
6. Prophecy Girl
7. Restless(Sorry. Not a fan of weird cryptic messages 😛.)

It's a hard decision, but:

1. Grave : I like DarkWillow and Xander saves the world
2. Chosen : nice big happy end
3. Graduation Day : epic battle with all students, nice
4. Prophecy Girl : just sweet, you see buffys friends make the difference
5. The Gift : I never really liked the 'my blood' thing but epic indeed
6. Restless : funny, entertaining, but as a final not so much
7. Becoming part 2 : lame evil stonefigure and it was too sad, Buffy leaving and stuff
 
Personally I count Primeval as the finale of S4 and Restless as an exquisite bonus episode.

So my rankings would be:

1. Becoming
2. Prophecy Girl
3. Primeval

I agree there. I consider Priveval the finally of season 4 as well. It is when everything gets taken care of, which is how ever other season ends!
I found it tough to vote because Restless, Becoming and The Gift are my three favourite episodes full stop, but I went with Becoming in the end. Also, I'm with Icarium, Primeval is the finale of season 4, Restless is just the last chronological episode.

I choose Graduation day. It would have been the gift or chosen next but I feel like Chosen is on a different level since it is the series.
I didn't choose the gift because the ending was what made it best to me, so I went by a whole episode.

Number 2 out of whole episode would be Becoming part 2.

Restless! Just because it's my favorite episode on the list. I don't care if it's the coda or the finale. 😛 Becoming's a close second.

I voted Grave, because I like it better than Chosen... but Chosen is just like half a point below Grave
