Favorite Character

Okay, for this poll, we will be voting for your favorite Serenity character. I know it's hard to distinguish between the show and the movie, but try. Alas, after I've said that, I still have to vote for Zoe as my favorite character. Even though she had a supporting role in the film, she was still the character I paid the most attention to. She is also the one who moved me the most. I mean, her reaction to Wash's death was heartbreaking. I sobbed my eyes out. I also cried during the funeral when Zoe walks up in that beautiful dress you know Wash would've loved. That moment when she looks at his picture...kills me. However, the moment that gets to me the most is when she says:
"He ain't comin'."
SOB!!!
As for my second favorite character, it does change from the series. On Firefly, my 2nd fav. was Mal. In Serenity, it's Wash. I love that he is able to add his unique sense of humor to a very chaotic time. In my opinion, Wash has some of the best lines in the movie. He has his great hero moment when he sacrifices his life so that the rest of the 'Verse can know the truth. I love that there were little moments snuck in to acknowledge the Wash/Zoe relationship. I love when he is talking to her over the intercomm to help her land the mule. I also love when he reaches for her hand to comfort her after Jayne angers her. And, of course, his penultimate scene:
"I am a leaf on the wind. Watch how I soar."

Jayne. Although it was a hard decison. But he my favourite. Cos he's funny and stupid. Thats always a good combination. And when I say stupid, I mean less smart than the rest 🙂

 

[What happened to good TV?]

Its gotta be Kaylee. Jewel is a gem (I kill me!) but i must say WAY underused in Serenity. Not only is she the hottest female in the movie, shes the hottest female from most movies! Plus damn that girl can act. Is she just the cutest and sweetest thing you've ever seen! I don't think any character has ever induced as much emotion in me as an audience member as Jewel Staite did in firefly and Serenity. All the rest of the cast are absolutely awesome, but every line Kaylee said, I listened. (Maybe its because she had so few!) Her role on the ship as a member of the team was still clearly shown in the film. Shes the heart, and the conscience of Serenity. and I'm gonna end with the phrase that i used earlier and embaressingly make myself smile and nod, pleased at my superior wit. Jewel is a gem.

Without a doubt my favourite character, same from the series, was River. I just thought she was incredible, her character was so interesting and unique, I loved how she spoke and her physic ability. And those fight scene were absolutely amazing!

The choice was difficult but i went wiht Mal he is so blatent and rude but he makes it funny! the runners up were River, and wash.

i voted for kaylee cuz she is cute, especially with simon. i really like river though. her scene after she went "crazy" in the bar thing where she was talking to simon was amazingly good

I really like River, even more so after the movie, and the River/Simon relationship is so sweet. But hm, I really like all the characters, which is kinda unusual but I really do..

It's difficult to choose just one because they're all so great characters, but I voted for Mal. I agree with Joamna that it's unusual to love all the characters in a tv-show.

I liked Zoe. Well okay, it's been so long since I've watched this I HOPE Zoe is who I think she is...Zoe's Gina Torres right?!

I loved River. Who couldn't? A crazy genius with more speed and stamina than a Slayer could shake a stick at. She's AWESOME.

Mal comes in second. Dunno what it is about our Cap'n, exactly. He's got a little something I like.

 

[Croft Storm]

It's so hard to choice, I love them all. Jayne has some great one-liners, and kicks ass now and again. Wash is hilarious, I love his sense of humor. Kaylee is adorable, and Mal a brilliantly deep character.

But my vote has to go for River, more so in Serenity than Firefly. Who doesn't love the bar fight, or her big reaver slayage at the end. But through all the awesomeness she's just a sweet innocent girl. She's the heart of the show.

I'd never watched a single episode that the film was based on. I watched the film purely because I'd heard so much about the show. I instantly liked River. She was amazing. Throughtout the film (from the stand point of someone who hadn't watched the show) you only got glimpses of what she was capable of. But when she went outside to fight at the end, that was amazing!!

She's a very complex character, and she was fun to watch!

I voted for River although I am a little bias. My appreaciation for her charater seemed to grow when I met Summer in person and spoke to her for like 15 mins!

River.... 😀 I really liked Rivers personalitly... and in Firefly she was awesome too!! xx Lmao.. Jess i think that may be the case for me too! Summer is awesome.. when i met her... i had to buy the series of firelfy 😉
