I must say that it's Jaynestown. The folklore and song was just plain hilarious.
Especially since Jayne is so "hardcore" and almost completely opposite of what they portray him as.

I can't pick one - there's not enough to choose from! All great episodes, the film was amazing too, just wish we had a second season and more....

My favorite episode of Firefly is War Stories, hands down. As a huge fan of the Wash/Zoe relationship, War Stories, of course, is my fav. I love the entire episode, but highlights include:
"There's plenty orders of mine that she didn't follow." Mal
"Name one!" Wash
"She married you!"

And, of course, the best scene of the episode, and perhaps, the best in the series:
Mal, Zoe, and Wash (and Jayne) at the end of the episode.
"Take me sir. Take me hard." Zoe
"Now something about that is just downright unsettling." Jayne
"We'll be in our bunk." Wash, whisking Zoe away

It was bet Bushwacked and Our mrs Reynolds But seeing him in the buff toped them all, 😉!

They were both so very funny! But i did love that scne in which Mal wore that bonnet! *class*

War Stories by infinity and one. I just love it for an irrelevant reason. (Maybe because it's like, one of the 3 episodes I've seen)

My favourite episode is Out of Gas, it's awesome. The ending is great, the episode makes me love Serenity (the ship).

I think its easier to say which episode isn't as good as the others, as I love all of them so much for different reasons. I find only 'The Message' lacking compared to the others and even it isn't bad at all. But I guess the 4 eps I have watched more then the others is 'Serenity', 'Out of Gas', 'Trash', & 'Objects in Space'. 'Ariel' would take 5th slot then 'Our Mrs. Reynolds'.

That episode rocks to.. oh wait they all rock. It's weird that I enjoy every one, where as the first 12 episodes of Buffy I'm not into all of them

i think that has something to do with the fact that most of us knew that there wasn't going to be anymore eps after 'Objects in Space'. so we kinda forced ourselves to like them all, and then we got to gripe about how there weren't anymore eps, and how the network were a**es for cancelling such an amazing show! :lmao:

heh true.
My favorite was "out Of Gas," simply because it gave some of the history of how the crew got to where they were, and I've always had a weakness for stories about someone's love for a ship that started out as a junker and became a beloved friend, so beloved that Mal was willing to risk dying rather than leave (That's why we called our ships "she" in the navy. They were beautiful, powerful ladies, who were our homes and our refuges in a hostile environment. And, for a lot of sailors, they were even a final resting place.)

"Our Mrs. Reynolds" fan, here. I just love that character! Oh - and the Special Hell thing was just too funny. And Inara insisting that she just fell! And Vera? "So does this. I call her Vera." I love "Jaynestown," too, though. Really, I love just about every episode. But "Our Mrs. Reynolds" is the one that keeps me laughing over and over again. I was so happy when YoSaffBridge came back in "Trash."

I voted for "Out Of Gas," because of the informative flashbacks, but "Heart Of Gold" would have to be a close runner up for the action, Jayne's comical lines, and, of course, Mal finally getting a little relief after an entire season of celibacy.

And don't forget Kimberly McCullough, who played the prostitute who betrayed the group. Not only is she one of my General Hospital faves, but she also has something of a Buffy connection. She used to be the live-in love of SMG's husband, Freddie Prinze Jr.

I chose "Objects in Space" because it's amazingly well written and I love the character of River! It's like Illyria, only so much better! The directing is amazing and the villain is so creepy and sadistic. I love it!

But, other favorites are "Our Mrs. Reynolds", which is so funny!, "Ariel", just good, and "Out of Gas" for the awesome flashbacks.
