I've recently been doing a re watching of Harry Potter and it got me thinking... Which Franchise has in your opinion done a best job out of interpenting the books into films?

Harry Potter

The Twilight Saga

The Hunger Games

In my opinion I think they did a great job in The Hunger Games. What do you think?

Harry Potter! Without a doubt.
The first Hunger Games film was good but there's been only one so far. They could still stuff up the next 2...

I haven't seen twilight but out of the other 2 I chose Hunger Games. I like the HP books more, but I think Hunger Games was better on screen.

I havent watched Hunger Games, but I chose HP. It was the exact (or almost) words from the books transfered to screen.

I'm torn between Hunger Games and Harry Potter, I think I'll have to stay my vote until the whole trilogy has been made into movies.

Cause I think Harry Potter 1 & 2 movie-wise were terrific and then it all went downhill very fast 3-7.
So though I liked the first HG movie I don't feel reassured that the following films will be well made or well adapted because of it.

I'm not voting, but definitely either HP or Hunger Games. There were 7--well, 8 HP movies, and the quality varies between each of them. There's only been 1 Hunger Games out so far, which was very good, but the quality might drop through the other 2. So it's not a very good comparison. (Maybe because I love HP too much to give the vote to Hunger Games just yet...)

I'm not sure I can make an accurate choice because we've seen so little of The Hunger Games on film. If the first HG is and accurate depiction of how good the whole trilogy will be adapted then I'd say it would be the best; followed by Harry Potter then Twilight.

I can't vote because I have never seen any of these. I have zero interest in Twilight but I do plan on checking out The Hunger Games when it becomes available on DVD.

I was actually debating on whether or not to watch the Harry Potter movies about two weeks ago, but (obviously) I haven't done it yet. I know a lot of people love them, but I'm not sure it's something that will hold my attention.

Couldn't bring myself to watch the Twilight films as I hated the books, so I'm going to go with Harry Potter.

I've never read or watched the Hunger Games, so can't really say much about that, I've seen all of the Harry Potter films but havn't read any of the books, read all the Twilight books and seen all the movies so far, so I was going to go with Twilight BUT I just think that the Harry Potter films are soooo detailed and were filmed brilliantly, even though I havn't read the books, I can't see there being much left out of the films, where as Twilight, I feel the films leave so much out from the books, they seemed to only film the best chunks of the book, they missed out all the little tiny details that I felt were important, so I voted for Harry Potter! 😀

I think the Hunger Games was most true to the book, but there's only been 1 movie, so who knows? The second and third could be really bad. I'll always love the HP movies. Even if they stray a bit from the books, I think cinematically they're very good.

I went with The Hunger Games 🙂 It's the only one that I really like. I love the books and I liked the first movie and I hope the next movie is just as good 🙂

I've never actually seen a HP movie apart from bits and pieces that I have caught on tv, and I haven't read the books.

As for Twilight? Well I saw the first movie to satisfy my own curiosity and I saw the second one at the movies because a friend of mine really wanted too. The most polite way to put it would be that even though I get why people are into it, it just isn't my thing 😉

I'd say Hunger Games, I saw the film first then read the book and thought the 2 were very similar, I think they did an excellent job of getting allot of details from the book to the Movie.

I'd say it could be a better franchise, as much as I liked the Harry Potter movies, the first few were kinda lame looking back, they really did get much better as they went on, whereas Hunger Games was brilliant from the start, so as long as they don't mess it up with the next ones.

I think Twilight deserves a shout out for being accurate to the books, I could barely make it through the first quarter of the book before I thought it was total crap, and the same thing happened with the movie, so at least it's consistent. 😉

Even though I like the "Twilight" movies, I had to vote for the HP movies here... I think they're the best representation of books-turned-movies.

i have to go with twilight. the books gripped me to the point of no return. The first film is so cool, 2nd ok. third good. and breaking dawn could have soo much better. I think twilight fans deserved just a little bit better. Lets hope they bucked their ideas up for part 2.

though i agree HP is prob still the best book franchise to made into a film, i mean every single one of them was amazing.

Lord of the rings. No? Ok then. I know there's stuff missing, obviously but I loved the movies while I had to force myself to read through the books.

Haven't read Twilight and not planning to and are yet to read The hunger games so not like I can vote. I liked The hunger games movie. I enjoy the HP movies once I've watched them once. First time around I'm always disappointed since they don't live up to the books but after that I get better at seeing them for themselves and not in comparision. The Twilight movies? Well the ones I've seen I don't hate but not like I'm planning on buying them either. I have all but the second part of deathly hallows and plan to buy The hunger games.
