Favorite friendships?

I feel like I haven't seen any threads specifically about friendships here. What are your favorites?

My absolute favorite is Angel/Faith. I also love Buffy/Tara and Cordy/Fred. I adore Buffy/Giles as well, but I consider them more of a familial relationship 🙂
 
Xander and Willow. They have been friends all their lives and nothing has ever diminished their love for each other. Xander was the only one who was able to reach Willow in Grave, and they weathered every storm. I feel like they have a trust, love and connection with each other that will last forever .
 
My favorite is Angel/Faith. Then Buffy/Willow.

I'm not counting Buffy/Dawn as a friendship though.
 
There are so many here. The relationship between the three musketeers is my favourite. Will and Tara is so all encompassing that it is a great friendship as well as a great romance. Tara and Dawn is very sweet.

I hope I am not ruining the spirit of the thread by saying this, but I am not a big Buffy/Giles fan. I don't think he deserved the esteem and trust she gave him.
 
I really like Gunn and Cordy. And Gunn, Cordy and Wes. They were so funny and so close.

I have a VERY special place for Faith and Angel. That makes it into many of my stories. He's the first thing she ever had that truly qualified as family.

On Buffy, my favorites were probably Buffy and Tara - it always was interesting to me that Buffy could talk to her when she couldn't talk to her 'best friends' as well as Spike and Dawn.

Finally? I loved the dynamic in 'Family' -- the entire team and Tara -- I know what it feels like to have someone stand up for me. It's wonderful. And her blood relatives were such awful creatures that had pushed her down so long.

100% agree!
I'm all for the classic Buffy, Willow and Xander friendship.
There are lots of other great friendships for sure but those three and their friendship is a huge part of what makes the show special to me.

Yup, when I've been watching recently I was struck by how much I love the early Angel dynamics of Angel-Cordy-Wes, they play off each other great and really come across as family. Then I was watching some Buffy and kept thinking, wow, this is such a great episode for the Scoobies as a group, they've got such a great friendship, it's just a joy to watch!
 
Angel & Faith would be my top.
Angel and Fred is also pretty good.
Buffy/Giles in the early seasons wen it was less familial
Cordy/Wesley in S1 and 2.
Oz and Xander.

Good choices! Never thought about Xander/Oz that much, mostly just because I'm not a fan of Xander, lol. But that's definitely an interesting and very layered dynamic!

On BTVS:

Buffy/Tara and I wish it was explored more. Willow/Xander because you know they will always have each others back and grow old together as friends.

On ATS:

Cordy/Wes and Gunn was amazing in S2-S3. I wish they didn't destroyed this team with all the love stories because their bond was better. Angel/Faith is also one of my favorite because Angel is what Faith needed to get her back on track.
 
@thetopher Aw, thanks! How cute is she? I like yours a lot too, I love the mirroring of those 2 considering their relationship.

UGH, completely agree irt Buffy/Tara. I loved them so much. Tara was so much more supportive and empathetic to Buffy in Season 6 than the other Scoobies, in my opinion.
