what's your favorite song, lyrics-wise?

for me it'd be a tie between.

KMFDM - "Dogma" (Even though it's mostly spoken word)
To/Die/For - "Anos De Dolor"
Nightwish - "Bless the Child", "Dead Boy's Poem". "Dead To The World" and "Gethsemane"
Dimmu Borgir - Blessings Upon The Throne of Tyranny
Tears For Fears - Mad World...

and many others, my list would be too long now that I think about it


Note: I made this thread because I plan to download the songs, lyrics are the most important thing in a song for me... any genre, style, topic is fine...

let's use this thread, to say the following:

download "Evanescence - Tourniquet (Demo)"... i heard this months before the album was released and it's the main disappointment I had with that album (tied with not including Fields of Innocence), it's so much better than the album version

Angel, I Will Remember You, Building A Mystery and Full of Grace by Sarah McLauchlan are all favorites of mine always have been and always will.

I also love Fatal Charm by Billy Idol because its about a "nice girl" named Maggie lol.

i just went through my cd's and i listened too "i'm movin' on" by rascal flats! i just love the vockal and the lyrics on that song!!

I love evanescence! I like "Hello" and "My Immortal"! They mean a lot to me! I have the piano music to them both!

I like "Iris" by Goo goo dolls!

A lot of Alanis Morrisette songs get to me too! She has so much feeling... so much meaning to her songs!

"Lucky" by Bif Naked ties me to an ex-boyfriend of mine!

It's funny how music does crazy things to your emotions!

That's why i study it! 🙂

I think the lyrics to Jake Lee Rau's song Welcome are good, it featured in season 4 of Buffy when Oz leaves Willow and she's listening to it when Spike comes in and tries to kill her but can't because of his chip.
