Favorite NON-WHEDON shows??

Whew, I am way too addicted to T.V!! Some shows I love are Glee, Bones, How I Met Your Mother, Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Lost, Ghost Whisperer, Harper's Island, True Blood and many more! 😀
 
Just watched last nights Fringe & I've got to say, if you don't watch this show you just missed out on (imo) one of the best eps of TV in the 09/10 season. I'm forced to ask though, where did this brilliance come from? It's been a more than watchable show but Brown Betty was a different class altogether. Lance Reddick really does have a very nice
voice
. I dare you to resist highlighting that spoiler 🙂

The outlook had been bleak since last March, when many of Tribune Station Group's markets dropped the syndicated series, which had been developed from Terry Goodkind's fantasy novels by Hercules/Xena producers Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert. ABC Studios, which produces it, kept shopping it around. But, I'm told, they found no takers. So, after two action-packed seasons, Legend is history.

huh, I must say I'm surprised. I never really cared for the show myself but I always thought it was kind of like a modern type (much better obviously) of Xena warrior princess and Hercules, y'know good fun easy entertainment. And those shows ran forever.

Too bad, with the rest of the tripe out there this was actually a show one could glance at and enjoy the hour

Yup i know, i found out on Friday there and ranted about it on Facebook. I'm so mad at it getting cancelled! There could be more arcs not including Darken Rahl ye know. They could do so much with the show.

I bet it was because they were taking agesssssss to find the stone of tears! LOL. (It was pretty annoying)
I'm sad it got cancelled. 🙁

Studio 60 was brilliant.
Decided to watch The West Wing after seeing Studio 60 and didn't know about Sorkin when I started. It was Matthew Perry that made me watch.

To bad about Legend of the Seeker even though I'm not a huge fan, despite my current banner. (I just really happy with how it ended up 😉)

My favorite shows...
  • Babylon 5 - Love it, amazing story.
  • Friends - Funniest ever.
  • X-Files - I'm on a rewatch now.
  • 24 - The last few hours every season just feels too much though.
  • Lost - Best I've seen in a long time. Waiting for season 6 to be finish so I can see it all in one go.
  • ER - Just extremely well made.
  • How I met your mother - Funniest since Friends.
  • The West Wing - Great writing.
  • Studio 60 - See above...
  • Glee - Can't explain it, random singing just works or something...

I'm probably forgetting a few...

Xena had like what 6 seasons? Hercules had 6 too? This is totally not fair.

I also really love the show "My boys" - anyone seen it? cute little sitcom. I find it very relatable. though of course I don't date 'my' boys hehe

PR Log (Press Release) "“ May 03, 2010 "“ Legend of the Seeker fans worldwide unite and organize a "Thank You/Please Reconsider and Save our Seeker" advertisement campaign in Variety in an effort to have the series, or quest, as fans call it, continue with a third season. The series was declined for renewal on March 4, 2010 by the Tribune Company, the series' biggest syndication distributor in the US. At the time ABC had not decided on the future of the series and while no official statement has been released, as of April 26th, reports that the show had been canceled began coming in. Upon the reported news, the passion the fans have for Legend of the Seeker was met with fervor. The ad campaign was instantly organized and fans took to donating, resulting in raising the funds required - to place the ad - within three days.

The campaign has taken on a life of its own and has now increased in intensity and won't stop at raising money for the ad. The fans have been buying DVDs of the first season, buying the episodes on iTunes, pre-ordering the season two DVD, and have taken to Twitter, Facebook, Live Journal, blogging and all over the internet with the endeavor to not only save the series and get a third season, but to spread awareness of the series, as well. Having the show's cast and crew - Bridget Regan [lead actress who portrays the Mother Confessor, Kahlan Amnell], Mike Sussman [Writer and Co-Executive Producer], and Dayna Porter Chiplin [Bridget Regan's stunt double] - jump on board to support and help promote the efforts has given the devotees an even bigger fire than already expressed. A nearly impossible feat, as the fire is intense.

News of the fan driven campaign gained enough momentum in three days to show up on everyone's radar. ooh i really hope it gets saved.
i like true blood and bones, and another one (i don't remember the name, it was a long time ago) with mutants that have to hide, the hero is a girl and as a job she gives letters on a bike...the explanat° is quite dull...and her friend loses the use of his legs..she has cat blood...

as anime TV shows, i love all Matsumoto's work (herlock, emeraldas, galaxy express 999...) and Hellsing

I think it had 2 seasons.
Pity it only lasted for that short. I didn't watch it regularly (mainly because it was on insanely late for my age back then), but the little I've seen on it was really good!
