Favorite One-Shot Vampire Character?

I can't quite like Sunday because I'm always disappointed that they didn't do more with her, like have her be a Slayer-turned-vampire who lasted at least half a season. And as such, she would've made way more sense as Spike's new girlfriend than Harmony.

I think her and Spike are cute together. The one vampire in all the world that actually makes Spike look intelligent. They make a great pair. Both shallow and self-serving.

Does Sam Lawson count? I can’t remember off the top of my head if he was in more than one episode. Anyways, I enjoyed his character and getting to know more about Angel and his past.

I agree. I always felt sorry for him and I wish he could have appeared sooner.

I expected someone to mention Penn. But maybe it's because he comes out of nowhere and is then dropped. It was kind of cheating to make him a one-shot. I did manage to be surprised to see Jeremy Renner both times I watched the episode somehow. 🙂

I think I have to agree with Kralik. I also thought of the immolation-o-gram vamp from Becoming. We know basically nothing about her, but it seemed so unusual for a vampire. The scene is so creepy, and it's interesting in a creepy way to think about what Angelus might have done to get her to agree to it.

Penn used to be my favorite one-shot vampire, but now he just seems kinda underdeveloped, like Sunday. A vampire turned by Angelus, played by Jeremy Renner? He could've been a season Big Bad or at least a miniboss.

(I never spared much thought for the immolation vamp before, but I'd guess she was hypnotized by Dru into doing that.)

One thing that confused me about Penn ... Angel says he was held up in Romania. Wouldn't that make Penn a contemporary of Dru&Spike?

We know she kills people. She sired an entire crew.

How do you feel about Harmony on AtS? I completely fell in love with her on Disharmony. I could have watched an entire show about Harmony trying to re-assimilate into human society, make friend and have a career.

Kakistos & Mr. Trick were interesting. Luke of the Aurelius Order was not bad either. The three were not really 'one-shot' or one-time vampires more recurring vampires.
I would have to say the award must go to Dracula played very well by Rudolf Martin who was also in All My Children with SMG.

Classic lines:

*wrinkles nose* I've always hated Dracula and that entire episode. It did not work for me at all. I want Dracula to actually be sinister and impressive, not a pretentious Eurotrash douchebag with a load of inexplicable powers and a face that looks like someone hit him with a sock full of chalk. I think the casting was a big part of the problem for me, but I was also annoyed by the campier-than-usual tone of the episode.

I much prefer the Dracula from Van Helsing.

(I adore that movie and I refuse to apologize for it.)

I loved Sunday (wish they'd made her a former Slayer though) and I also loved Dracula. I get why a lot of fans didn't take to him, but I liked the campiness and B-Horror-Movie feel to his character.

For Buffy: I would have to agree with Kralik, he's so dangerous and what a vampire should be on TV.

For Angel: The prince of lies was such a great hommage to Nosferatu, I can't not choose him!

I would definitely go with Holden as well. I've been in situations where I would strike up a conversation with a random stranger and we would open up to each other as if we knew each other. Every single person on this planet has a different, unique perspective on things, and I've gained a lot of insights from strangers.
