Favorite Scooby Hang Outs

Throughout the course of the show, the scooby gang always had some sort of hang out for their meetings on the "monster of the week" or the big bad of the season. But which is your favorite Scooby hang out?

The Summers's Residence (Season 7)
The Sunnydale High Library (Season 1-3)
UC Sunnydale (Season 4-5)
Magic Box (Season 5-6)
Giles's house (Season 4-5)
The Bronze
 
I always liked the Library, Giles' place and the Magic Box. Now that I think about it, Giles place might be my favorite. Not too sure why, I think probably because I like Giles so much and we got to see much more about his life and personality in s4-5. I mean, we would have never gotten to see drunk Giles if the gang didn't hand at his place 😛

The Magic Box and the Library are pretty much tied up after that. And I love the Bronze but not really as a true meeting place.

The Sunnydale Highschool library, back when things were more innocent.
When I think 'Scoobie meeting' I think of all of them sitting around that big ol' table filled with, dusty books.

It's also the only hang out to seriously invaded on more than one time, (which the dramacist in me kinda digs) at least twice in S2, and when the Mayor just strolls in there in S3...that's a good scene, very menacing.


I did like the Magic Box though, it felt like the 'adult' hang out place for them in S5/6 where they could all be grown-up and help sell stuff if need be. I really loved the cool training room in the back, more realistic than just fighting in the middle of the library.

One thing that always puzzled me- In s1-3 The Bronze is very much the teen hang out for high schoolers, right? Then isn't it kind of sad that the Scoobies are still poking around the place when their all 20 or so?
In mean in S5/6 and even 7, they still go there to dance and hang out and stuff, what the hell? 😵

Why not go to keggers like normal college types. 😛
 
As a purely hang out spot, I love the Bronze. I wish there was a teen club where I grew up. For researching I love the Library because, it's a library it just makes sense. The Magic Box is second because it also has the necessary resources so it makes sense, but in both cases, Giles has a job there which I love tweed Giles.

@thetopher I think since the Bronze is supposed to be the only club in town it was always more than just a teen club, I think it was an all ages club but sense teens can't go to a bar they all just go there. So it's mostly a teen hangout but there are also young 20 something yr olds too since it's the only club. And we have seen the Scoobies at college parties, they never seem to work out. Haunted Houses and being sacrificed to snake demons, yea I wouldn't go to many frat parties either. lol

I try to narrow it to 5, then 3.. but honestly.. the top two were the only ones that immediately came to mind.

The SDHigh Library and The Bronze.

After these.. I would think:
-The Summer's House
-The Graveyard
-Spike's Crypt
then eventually The Magic Box

An honorable mention would be the downtown area of Sunnydale, with the theater, street, etc
 
Well the library seems like a given since it also connects to my favorite seasons 🙂 But I also really liked the Magic Box as their hang out. The only place I didn't really like was Giles' house, it always felt off, like an invasion of privacy or something.

Yeah, I always felt sorry for Giles and his permenantly unlocked door!
The Library is my favourite. When I get my own place, I'm building a replica of the Library in it.

(In the fantasy world in my brain - the only place where I'll ever be able to afford my own home - I'm fabulously wealthy)
 
I have a personal soft spot for Giles' house but that's only because Season 4 was my first season.

My actual favourite "scooby meeting place" is probably the library, closely followed by the Magic Box.

I love Buffy's house too, but I associate it with everything bad about season 7 which puts me off.
 
The fact that the library was right above the hellmouth was slightly coincidental in hindsight... but didn't hamper the enjoyment in any way.

I liked that it was over the hellmouth
All their hang outs works well.
But when I think back on the show it is the classic, the library, that I mostly consider to be the 'real' hang out.
