Favorite score/theme

Among all the musical pieces created by composers such as Robert Kral, Chris Beck and others - what are your favorites?

Mine are the suites from Restless, Hush, and The Gift, Close Your Eyes, Remembering Jenny, the Pylea theme, Connor/Cor/Jasmine theme, and the final piece in Chosen.
 
Ooh, I've been waiting for a thread like this.

The one I like is the one that plays in the background of the Ubervamp scenes. It reminds me of something. Can't put my finger on it. Think It might be Terminator.

I'm pretty sure it's Robert Duncan. I know he did the Chosen score.

It wouldn't be - like everything else in the episode - a little Lord of the Ringsish...?

The Buffy/ Riley theme is quite sweet. I might just think so because I was pretty damn sick of the B/A theme by then. Faith's theme has a sweetly creepy ... mildly Silent Hillish... thing going on, and I quite like it. Ah, but my fave would definitely be The Gift's score, which by itself has me in full nostril flaring glory emotional breakdown. And I don't cry at funerals.
 
Oooh I've really got to agree with Rob Duncan's Final Score for Chosen.... I just love it.... I play it over and over again. Mind you I think Chris Beck's songs were very appropriate for the seasons they appeared in. 'Close Your Eyes' and 'The Sacrifice' were both wonderful themes for the S3 and S5 finales.

No those visual LOTR references are from Chosen, although I agree with Momentary Grace, that theme is wicked also.

The Ubervamp theme I'm talking about is from Bring on the Night, and Showtime. It's kind of an electronic thing with these rhythmic metallic clangs.
 
There are so many I like, and I agree that all of the ones mentioned are excellent as well, but I really like the score from Passion. The music played during the voice overs and again at the end as Buffy and Giles embrace.

And while it's not from Buffy, I really love one of the pieces in Firefly. It's played
in Serenity during Inara's bathing scene, and if I'm not mistaken, it's also played in the end of Jaynestown as Mal consoles Jayne

EDIT NOTE: I am completely and utterly technically inept and can't seem to find the "spoiler" format thing. Did it change or did I lose another portion of my mind?

EDIT AGAIN: Thanks Lee. For some reason I thought that there was a button in the "advance post" option, like the hyperlink, etc. ones and couldn't remember the code (which is painfully obvious) for the spoiler tags.

My favourite had to be the Robert Duncan theme for Chosen, Ive always wished that the music had played when Anya was fighting though 🙁
 
My favourite is The Gift. Love it. I love that they used it on the S6 DVD menu, and sometimes just leave that menu playing 🙂

I do that too! I TRY to find the scene I'm looking for on the DVD, but instead get caught crying while listening to that. ;)
The 'Close Your Eyes' Buffy/Angel theme gets me everytime. Especially in The Becoming Part 2. Also from the end of The Gift, and the music in Passion leading up to Giles discovering Jenny's body.

I know this thread is about themes and music but something that had a large impact on me was the fact that there was nothing in The Body at all, and that itself was very moving.

My all-time favorite is easily "Sacrifice" from The Gift. It gets me crying every time!
 
i was just about to create this thread a minute ago. now i don't have to... good.
I love "Close Your Eyes" from Season 2
"Sacrifice" from S5
"Slayer's Elogy"(Bad spelling) from S3 (The Wish)
and
"The Final Fight" in Season 7
i have all the Buffy oundtracks and am now waiting on Angel CD (Why can the USA get it)
 
My favourite score is the 'Every Girl, A Slayer' by Robert Duncan, closely followed by 'Sacrifice' by Christophe Beck. They are two such amazing pieces of music, I love them. I always get shivers down my spine when I listen to 'Every Girl, A Slayer', and when I watch that scene. Amazing pieces of music.
 
Restless, the music just like the rest of the episode it great. It really brings out the surreal in their dreams. If my dreams would have a score it would be just like it.
 
Im also *very* fond of the 'Remembering Jenny' score, and the score that plays in Forever and Joyce's funeral (Not too sure of the name), so Im just gonna call it 'Forever Joyce'

Seems fitting...

And pretty...
