Favorite season 7 episodes

No so different from everyone else's list...

Conversations with Dead People - It's so haunting and sad. I also love the story structure.

Him - Ridiculous and funny. SMG really gets to show off her comedy muscles here, after playing serious for a very long time.

Storyteller - It's worth it just for the "we are as gods" bit.

Selfless - Emma Caulfield is amazing. I don't know which I like more, the Norse scene or the song. I wish I could watch the song without hitting the sword through the chest smash cut. It jolts me every time.

Chosen - I think it's a great finale. The scene of the Slayers being called around the world always gets me.

Honourable mention: Lessons (a very strong opener to the season, where did it all go wrong?)
 
Selfless is by far my favourite episode of season seven, aswell as being my favourite episode overall. I'm pretty sure the reasons are obvious, but I'll go into it, anyway. Needless to say, I've always loved Anya; she's my favourite character throughout both Buffy and Angel, and I never thought enough was really divulged about her, sure there were snippets in Triangle and she was constantly talking about her demon days and the like, but it was never in depth, and I always wanted to know more about her. I think the episode really shone, Emma Caulfield was (And when I say was, I mean is. Constantly.) amazing, as per, and really did the episode justice. Seeing a deeper look on Anya made me go oh-so-fan-girl, and I thought it really proved there was more to Anya than just a love of money and sex, and a constant use of sarcasm.

I know a lot of people who really disliked Anya until watching the episode, and I'm so glad for Selfless. I think if I hadn't been an Anya fan (Yeah. Right.) the episode would have brought me round to being one, it just gave me a whole load more love for my favourite character. Plus, 'I'll be Mrs'? Best song ever.
 
To me, Conversations with Dead People is not only the best episode of the season but one of the best Buffy episodes period. It had moments where it had razor sharp wit and great comedy, yet also had some very touching dramatic scenes, and managed to blend them flawlessly.

I believe this episode marked a point where the show fully recovered from the "everything's dark and everyone's miserable" vibe of season 6 and felt a lot more like past seasons yet had everyone seem a little older and wiser. It's a shame the potentials had to show up and drastically change the season's direction as I believe Buffy was going down a great path and this episode was a great example of that.

I agree completely. If the rest of the season had lived up to the potential displayed in this episode, it might have been the best season ever.

But of course it starts falling apart almost immediately afterward...
 
I think my three favorite Season 7 episodes are

1. Same Time, Same Place
2. Chosen
3. Dirty Girls

But I'm not sure. No 1 is Same Time, Same Place, no doubt, but I don't know about the rest.
It's hard for me to tell what happens in which episode of Season 7.

Those are in episode order, I don't have a particular 'favourite' order, so yeah.
I don't have any idea why I've put Get It Done on there, I've only seen it a few times, but for some reason it's the one Season 7 episode I'm most looking forward to re-watching, and I remember specific moments from it, so I guess I quite liked it.
 
For me, in no particular order, it's:

--Showtime. Mostly for the last 10 minutes. Buffy's fight with the Turok Han reminds us of what a true hero she is. We remember that she truly is special for so many reasons beyond just being "chosen," and that her bravery is what keeps so many people going.

And, of course, the Spike rescue scene. It's one of my favorite scenes in the entire series. I believe the unspoken exchange between them is the moment when we, the audience, are aware that Buffy really loves Spike.

--Selfless. Gut-wrenching! It deals so well with the scenario I think we were all worried would come, ever since Hell's Bells, (maybe even earlier).

--Touched. Like any self-respecting Spuffer, haha. 🙂

--Chosen. Actually, I'm conflicted about my feelings for this one, but for now I'll list it.

--Conversations.

Even though people aren't posting their least favorite in here like they are in some similar threads, I wanted to post mine since I'm currently rewatching Season 7 and realise there's a lot I don't like:

1. Sleeper
2. First Date
3. Lies My Parent's Told Me

You'd think, loving Spike as much as I do, I'd love LMPTM like so many others, but I hate the whole trigger storyline. 🙁
