What are your favorite seasons for each character? And least favorite? When do you think they shine the most? And when do you think they crumble the most?

Willow Rosenberg

Favorite: Season Three - This was the season when she started to come into her own, especially towards the end. She became more confident, sexy, street-smart instead of just scholastic-smart, and had more fun. She was with Oz, but still had feelings for Xander, so that sparked some good storylines. She also started getting into magic after dabbling in the Season 2 finale. Basically, she was amazing.

Least Favorite: Season Seven - She was, bluntly, useless. Being my favorite character, I was furious she was only minorly used until the finale. Especially after such a big blow-up at the end of Season Six, I expected her to be in the spotlight this season. Her bitchy girlfriend got almost the same amount of screen time as she did! Ugh.

Buffy Summers

Favorite: Season One - After Season One, Buffy lost what made her character so much fun. Yes, she still had PLENTY of hilarious one-liners and pop culture references, but she lost the cheesy appeal, which may have been for the better in terms of character growth, but not so much in audience appreciation.

Least Favorite: Season Seven - She was just downright bitchy. With her over-the-top, overused, and preachy speeches every episode, her playing with Spike's emotions, and ignorance of her friends, Buffy was very unlikeable this season.

I'll be back with more later, but I want to hear yours!

I'll just do the Core Four for now 😀

Buffy

Favorite: Opposite of you, lol. Season 7 😀 I think we finally see her as a leader and she really shows just how much she's grew over the course of the series. She had to make tough decisions and she did it no matter what, even when she did come off as bitchy.

Least Favorite: N/A. I love Buff! She's my girl 🙂 Love her in all seasons.

Willow

Favorite: Season 2. That's just the essence of Willow. Before she became a Grade A bitca, lol.

Least Favorite: Season 4. I can't explain why, I started to like her less, lol.

Xander

Favorite: S1. He was hilarious! And pretty damn sexy too 😉

Least Favorite: Again, N/A. Love Xander all the way. Even when he's being overly judgmental 😛

Giles

Favorite: S4. Hilarious. The Yoko Factor is one of my favorite episodes soley based on drunk!Giles 😀

Least Favorite: Post S5. Giles was just... not Giles.

BUFFY: Best, S2. Worst, S7.
GILES: Best, S1. Worst, S7.
WILLOW: Best, S4. Worst, S1.
XANDER: Best, S5. Worst, S4.
SPIKE: Best, S2. Worst, S4.
FAITH: Best, S3. Worst, S7.
DAWN: Best, S7. Worst, S6.
ANYA: Best, S5. Worst, S7.
JOYCE: Best, S3. Worst, S2.
ANGEL: Best, S2. Worst, S1.
CORDELIA: Best, S2. Worst, S1.
OZ: Best, S3. Worst, S4.
TARA: Best, S6. Worst, no worst.

er... who else?

Interesting! Haven't done something quite like this before.

Spike

Favorite: Season 5. It had everything--crazy, obsessed Spike making sex dolls; lovesick, downtrodden Spike in need of a good hug; and brave, noble Spike willing to die to save the girl. I enjoyed his development in this season, as well as his self-awareness ("I know that I'm a monster, but you treat me like a man.")

Least Favorite: Season 6. Liked the season for what it was, but in terms of Spike, it was just painful. Some of his worst crimes are in that season, and it literally hurt to watch him do what he did. Plus, it hurt to see him be used and to watch Buffy hurt him.

Buffy

Favorite: I think they're pretty even, actually. She was strong and sassy and awesome from the get-go, and I can't pick a time when I really liked her more than any other time. Perhaps in S7, just because I felt she'd become a true adult. She'd lived through drama and misery and come out on the other side, and I felt that maturity with her. She was kind of annoying sometimes, especially with her You-All-Suck speech, but I liked her evolution.

Least Favorite: I don't want to be boring, but she was awful in Season 6, as well. On top of being depressed and not wanting to live (not exactly the most enjoyable thing to watch), she did things that I would never have thought Buffy capable of doing. Not sleeping with Spike, but using him and, most especially, beating him into the pavement when she was really just furious at herself. She took out her self-hatred on him, and that's never acceptable, no matter how shady the recipient may be.

Actually, thinking about it, I really didn't like anybody in S6. Willow was frustrating, arrogant and ultimately a drug addict, Xander was bigoted and cruel, Giles bailed on his Slayer when she was miserable, and Anya.... wait, Anya! Anya was good that season! Loved her.

Buffy

Favorite: S3, she had grown up a lot since S1-2, and I love she finally sticks it to the council at the end. She also looks her best in this season.

Least Favorite: S6, she was just so lost in this season, though she still maintained some of her personality. Also, I like her better with longer hair.

Willow

Favorite: S2, I love her in Reptile Boy, in Phases, and then again in Becoming. I love her more when she's nerdy than witchy.

Least Favorite: S6, she had some really harsh lines, and honestly I wasn't a huge fan of Tillow in this season.

Xander

Favorite: S5, I love his evolution from guy in his parents basement to finally getting his own apartment and his speech to Anya of how he loves her and then his proposal at the end.

Least Favorite: S2-3, garbling Willow's message, attacking Buffy in Dead Man's Party, then again in Revelations.. he does save some face in Amends though.

Giles

Favorite: S2, he's at his Giles best, actually being Buffy's official Watcher, and his speech at the end of Innocence and the moment between him and Buffy in Passions.

Least Favorite: S6-7, deserting Buffy, then coming back and heaping it all on Buffy's shoulders, trying to assassinate the only person looking out for her, he got way less likable in the later seasons.

Anya

Favorite: S4, when she's still adjusting to being a human I think she's quite hilarious.

Least Favorite: S7, especially her speech about Buffy just being lucky, I want to just slap her.

Spike

Favorite: S4 or S7, I like evil Spike with his humorous edge but I also like ensouled Spike, he retains a lot of his personality but then is truly one of the good guys.

Least Favorite: S5, stalking Buffy, making the shrine, creating the robot (while hilarious, somewhat obscene), sweater sniffing..

Dawn

Favorite: S7, people start treating her more like an adult so she finally grows up a little.

Least Favorite: S6, I can forgive some of S5 because of the extreme circumstances of being the key but in S6 she's just a mess and not really likable at all.

Tara

Favorite: S6, when she strikes up a closer friendship with Buffy and she and Willow get back together in the end.

Least Favorite: S4, but I generally like Tara in all the seasons, this is just the one I like the least. She never really comes into her own until S5-6.

Buffy
Season 2: This was my favorite season for her. I think we started to see more of her after the setup of characters in season one. I liked her during this season and this season had some great episodes for her that Sarah nailed. I also would say this is my favorite Bangel season liked season 3 but this had just a little more. Also loved her first interactions with Spike and Drusilla. Plus this season had her best hair in my opinion.

Season 6: The first time watching I would have said season 4 but that is not the case anymore. I liked season 6 but I missed old Buffy. I liked seeing her with Spike but I think their relationship was better in season 7.

Willow
Season 3: Like Willow-Tree said she came into her own during this season. She was still cute and unique. I liked that she started using a little more of her magic here as well. She had some good moments with everyone during this season. I loved her and Oz after the Cordy and Xander situation. Plus vamp willow was in this season.

Season 7: I love Willow and always will but in season 7 she was just there. Her moment in the finale was great and made her very important but I felt like they just made her there for the whole season.

Xander
Season one: There were a lot of Xander moments in this season to me. I liked him throughout but this was my favorite. We had the teacher episode and the episode the Pack. I enjoyed first seeing Xander and his personality most during this season. I feel like he was a lot of use her and had good moments like in the season finale.

Season 6: He was not as funny to me this season and maybe because I loved him and Anya I just know when thinking about Xander this season does not have the strongest moments that pop in my head.

Giles
Season 2: He was key in this season and they really used him. He had the Jenny situation and everything else. I liked seeing the moments with him and Buffy. I think they needed each other during this season and I liked that.

Season 6: This one because he was not around as much.

Dawn
I will just say she had her moments and season 7 protrayed her in a new light which helped her character to me. In the rest she had some good times and bad but this was her best season.

Spike
Season 2: I am a spuffy fan but I love him in this season. He was so new and hilarious at times. The interaction between him and Buffy was great especially their first meeting. Loved when he met Joyce. Plus some of my favorite moments were when Drusilla, Angel and Spike were together and the way Angel and Spike mocked each other.

Season 3: I don't know if that counts but he is on the DVD so I put this one. I thought he was funny in his episode but not as good as when he was watching Passions or just being Spike.

Anya
Season 4: I just liked her in this season and it was the first time I was like I think this character could be a really good one. She is just Anya.

Season 5: I liked Anya but this was my least favorite for her I would put season 6 but she had some strong moments in that season. So I choose this one because I tend to skip over it when I am thinking of Anya moments.

First off, great thread!

I totally agree about Willow, season 3 being my favourite and season 7 being the least favourite.

Anya
Favourite: season 4 adjusting to life as a human. So funny.

Least Favourite: season 7.

Xander
Favourite: Season 3.
Least Favourite: season 4

Giles[/B]:
Favourite: Season 4. He's just so funny, drunk Giles and being turned into a demon and scaring Prof. Walsh! Giles of earlier seasons would never do that.
Least Favourite: Season 7.

Spike:
Favourite: Season 2
Least Favourite: season 5.

Dawn: Favourite: Season 7
Least Favourite: Season 6.

Joyce:
Favourite: season 5

First of all this is really tough to do but i'll give it a go.

Buffy Summers: I like her in all of the seasons but i'll probably go with season 3. She looks lovely for a start but i like the rivalry with Faith and the reunion with Angel. Sarah also deliveres some superb performances in certain episodes like "Amends" for instance. Also at this point her friendship with Willow and Xander is strong whilst her and Giles are there for each other, its hard to dislike Buffy at all in this season.

Least Favourite: Probably season 6. Unlike a lot of people i'am not all doom and gloom about Buffy in this season but i do miss the funny side of her nature. She's isolated and we don't get to see what we love most about Buffy but nevertheless i felt compensated by the interesting storyline that was developing with Spike and how she was dealing with her problems.

Willow Rosenberg: Season 3 again for me. It is in this season where Willow becomes confident in what she brings to the group but she still has an innocence surrounding her.

Season 7, until the end she isn't really that important to the show. Takes a backseat like Xander.

Spike: Exceptionally difficult but i'll say season 4 just because of the comic value he offers. Spike's a personal favourite for me in all of the seasons he appeared in though.

Least Favourite: Tough but i'll go for season 2. He spends a lot of time in a wheelchair and its only in the later part of the season that the real powerful Spike comes back and has an impact on the show.

Giles: Season 2. I love how his relationship with Buffy builds and all of the Scoobies for that matter. It is in this season where he develops a love for everyone and where everyone develops a love for him. Jenny's death htis him hard and is portrayed brillantly by Tony Head. Tender moment with Buffy where he says "he'll only offer her his support" is another highlight

Season 7 is my least favourite. I don't think he is involved enough and although i understand why he doesn't have a lot of time with Buffy, Xander, Willow i'am still left disappointed. The humourous Giles is lost for most of this season and its sad as his relationship with Buffy declines.

Xander: Season 2 probably but its close between this and season 3. Xander's wit, stupidity is funny to watch, while his commitment to his friends is extremely admirable. "Go Fish" is a great episode perfectly showing what Xander brings to the show. At this time he provided the humour which in the later seasons mostly went to Spike.

Least Favourite: Season 7 because he largely takes a backseat and he doesn't have a core storyline apart from being there for Buffy.

Buffy:

Favourite: Season Three. This season she gave up the "poor me, I have to be the slayer *wangst*" stuff that slightly bugged me beforehand. She refused to give up her slayerness in FH&T, Helpless and Choices, showing that even though she complained about being the hero sometimes, she wouldn't have it any other way. She was kind, warm and funny, all-round a nice person to be around.

Least favourite: Season Seven. She became unbelievably self-righteous, she seized control and insisted that everybody played by her rules, not letting anyone else get a word in edgeways, she treated her friends like slaves and made them feel guilty when she felt they weren't good enough, she inexplicably prioritised the man who tried to rape her last season over her oldest and dearest friends, her mentor and even her sister, she lost all sense of fun, failed to give anyone the benefit of the doubt, stabbed Anya, acted like an unforgiving bitca to Faith, gave far too many boring speeches, and my good god she whined. S7 wasn't like S6 Buffy, who was a hollow shell not resembling herself at all, but she was a caricature of her former self. She was just like S1-5 Buffy, except with all her good traits removed and all her worst traits played way up.

Xander:

Favourite: Season Five. I loved his slow maturing, from his insistence on not being a butt monkey anymore in the first episode, to proposing to Anya and hitting Glory with a wrecking ball in the last.

Least favourite: Tough. In S6 he was an arse, but in S7 he didn't actually get to do anything at all.

Willow:

Favourite: Season One/Two. She's just so cute early on.

Least favourite: Season Six. I had no sympathy for her while she was mind-wiping her girlfriend, and after the laughably ridiculous addiction arc kicked in, I just couldn't get involved in her character at all.

Giles:

Favourite: Season Four. Controversial I know, he didn't have much to do this season but he was just so snarky and fun and awesome.

Least favourite: Season Six. Because he just wasn't there.

Angel:

Favourite: Not including AtS, S2, because of the Angelus storyline.

Least favourite: Season One. Boring, and poor acting.

Spike:

Favourite: Season Two. Snarky, sexy, interesting, funny, complex, likeable, different and downright fracking awesome.

Least favourite: Season Six. Lost all entertainment value and became a creepy, emotionally manipulative stalker/rapist with no sense of personal space.

Cordelia:

Favourite: Season Three, when her character development started to kick in.

Least favourite: Season One. She wasn't part of the group for most of the season, she had to wait until the 11th episode to gain a second dimension.

Anya:

Favourite: Season Five. She was funny and likeable, it was great to see her working at the shop.

Least favourite: Season Seven. Because she didn't actually get to do anything.

I agree, Giles is awesome in s4. His best, definitely
To finish up the Core 4:

Xander Harris

Favorite: Season One - Honestly, after this Xander irritates me a lot of the time. In this season, he has just the right amount of annoying pop culture references and whiny-ness... in later seasons he either becomes too annoying or too preachy.

Least Favorite: Season Seven - Okay, I wanted to kill him here. He was just too different, and I don't think he changed completely for the better. It was like he was rock-solid... he showed minimal amounts of emotion and acted like a father to everyone... not happy.

Giles

Favorite: Season Two: I loved that he got his own storylines in this season, what with Jenny and "Ripper"/Ethan. He was still the intelligent, mysterious Giles from Season One, but he also became more integral to the show, and I liked that.
Least Favorite: Season Four - I didn't like Giles not being a Watcher; simple as that. It was an odd setting for him to be at home watching television instead of helping the Scoobies. I know he needed a break, and I'm glad it was only for a little while, instead of for the rest of the show.

More later!

Buffy - Best: Season 2,3,4 Worst: Season 6
Willow - Best: Season 1,2,3 Worst: Season 7
Xander - Best: Season 4,5,6 Worst: Season 2,3
Giles - Best: Season 1,2,3,4 Worst: Season 5,6,7

Buffy:
Favourite season: Season 5 and 3, because I feel she got really mature in that season. I feel she made a huge devolopment from season 4 to 5. Same for season 2-3.
Least favourite season: season 6. Almost didn't recognize her anymore. She wasn't the hero I loved so much.

Willow:
Favourite season: 1. I love goofy, geeky Willow.
Least favourite season: 7. She wasn't as cute and loveable anymore as she was in the earlier seasons.

Spike:
Favourite: s2, no explaination needed.
Least favourite: s6. He was just Buffy's puppet. She pulled a string and he did what she wanted, awful to look at IMO, but I know most people will disagree with me.

Angel:
Least favourite season: s1. He was just such an shallow character.
Favourite season: everything in Angel 🙂

Since you didn't mention it was only characters in BtVS, i'm gonna count Angel ones too 😛

BTVS main characters(require at least three seasons of regular appearances):

Buffy Summers:

Favorite: Season five. This was the most touching Buffy got for me. She had to go through so many things, and for the most part remained who she was since the beginning. She shined at multiple times, but for me the best moments were when she did her speech to the Council and when she kissed Spike for what he had done 🙂

Least Favorite: Season six. A lot of peoples say that season is depressive and sad. Well I agree to a point. But what bothered me with Buffy in that season is how she barely looked like the girl we got to know from the previous seasons. The only few times I recognized her were like with Xander before she got shot, or with Spike at the wedding. Seeing her sit on her bed with a stake and a cross afraid of giving in to Spike was pretty disturbing for me. Buffy was stronger than that, I thought.

Xander Harris:

Favorite: This is pretty hard to choose, because for me Xander didn't really shine through a whole season. He shined at particular moments through the SERIES. But since I have to pick, it's gonna be season three. Outside the obvious 'The Zeppo' which I think is his best episode after 'Grave', I really liked him for doing what he does best, which is to be best friend for Buffy. And before you go and tell me he was a jerk to her multiple times in that season, let me tell you that sometimes that's what a best friend do, tell us things we don't wanna hear. Because we have to be put down to earth about some things. And who else but our closest friends to do that? We put so much faith in them, their opinions and feelings matter much more to us than if some stranger told us the same things. I also liked what he did for Cordy at the end of the season. Probably the nicest thing he did for her, and it was when they not even together anymore.

Least favorite
: Season seven(you gonna see this number a lot, lol). It's pretty easy to pick this one. In fact thanks to it I don't have a hard choice to pick haha 😛 In that season Xander's role was turned down a WHOLE lot, and the only redeeming moments for me were when he did his speech to Dawn about ordinary peoples, and when he did that 'something' for Buffy. He didn't even get an episode centered on him(no I don't count 'First Date' as being about him). And they killed his love for no other reason than to kill someone for the finale.

Willow Rosenberg:

Favorite: Season two. This is funny because I understand her character like the others had to change and mature. But sadly, for me as her character evolved, she got less interesting and funny. I liked the shy, cute and randomly bitchy Willow! She was the best in season two(and part of season three), these were the good old days of the Scoobies 🙁 Her crush on Xander got me and then she meet Oz who was soooo right for her haha 😛 They were both able to be that KIND of awkward and smart and fun at the same time. Too bad they didn't stay and mature together(not that I dislike Tara, far from it!).

Least favorite: Season seven. Again, just like Xander, she was brought down a notch or two in the last season. Too many new characters took her screen time. I thought that after what happened at the end of season six, she'd be very important to the story, her being still touchy and prone to dark magic. Her role at the end was cool but still a bit too late to be that interesting.

Rupert Giles:

Favorite: Season four. Giles was my second fav character through the first five seasons. I liked him A LOT in each for multiple reasons, but... In season four, he was HILARIOUS! That's what I always loved about him, he could be stern and serious while still being sensible and funny. His relation with Spike was great and could have been used more later on! There was also couple of his funniest moments in that season. 'Something Blue', 'Hush', 'New Man' and 'Yoko Factor' haha 😀 God Giles was such a great character! Until...

Least favorite: Season seven. Again another Scooby having his worst season at the end(great...). Despite what some peoples said about this, I always thought Giles wasn't Giles in the last season. Gone(or almost) was his cute and funny side, gone was the touching relationship with him and Buffy. To me he almost turned into one of these council guys. It was all about the mission and the troubles ahead. There could be no fun and giggles as in the past. I also thought he'd have a much more important role in the end. Him being their father like image from the start, you'd think he'd be more than just a 'guy' amongst the group.

Anya 'Jenkins':

Favorite: Season five. Anya wasn't a character I liked much at the start. It took me a while to get warmed up to her. It's the innocent and snarky sides that got me in the end. In season five, she was at her best, 'Triangle' being to me her greatest episode. I loved how she brought that direct to the point and/or sarcastic side to the Scoobies(a bit like Cordy did in the first seasons). She showed pretty good human traits for someone who had been a demon for over a thousand years! She had a lot of great moments in that season, like her speech in 'The Body', her bitchering with Willow in 'Triangle' or when she lifted her arm in 'Family' and suddently asked 'What kind of demon??' hahahahaha! The smile she gave Xander then was so cute and hilarious 🙂

Least Favorite: Season six. She was alright at the start of the season but for me the worst part was after Xander left her at the altar. She was SO immature and annoying at that point. I got to say I despised things she did after that. Trying to get Xander's friends to hurt him. Wanting terrible things to happen to him instead of trying to talk about it with him. She sounded and looked like a little girl. the only thing I could kinda understand is when she had sex with Spike(this is out of topic, but I always wondered, how come they make us think Spike get drunk when he clearly state multiple times that vampires can't get drunk?). But yea, I know that immature side kinda was part of her character, it still irritated me to no end. It's not like she had not done terrible things before too, and Xander wasn't some jerk who did that to hurt her and left for good. He had his reasons and he tried to talk to her about it afterwards but to no avail.

William 'Spike':

Favorite: Season four. This was another hard choice for me. Contrary to some peoples, I liked Spike across all his 'phases'. I like the bad and dark Spike, I like the funny and pitiful Spike, I like the lovesick and heroic Spike. Now for me it was about choosing the one I preferred. And I picked the funny and kind of pitiful William 🙂 He was just GREAT in season four. He realized he couldn't hurt peoples anymore, was depressive about it(see scene with Willow LOL). Then he just hang around with them since he couldn't protect himself haha, so humiliating for the guy who thought he was the 'BIG BAD' (as he said himself when he came back to Sunnydale ::rolf:🙂

Least Favorite: Season six. Kinda like Buffy in that season, I thought some things he did were a bit out of character(given he was a soulless demon unlike Buff). Now this is pretty much it. I didn't dislike Spike in any seasons. He was a pretty good character, and since i'm gonna talk about AtS characters too, I got to mention he was very good in the last season over there! I could have picked it over this one.

Dawn Summers:

Favorite: Season five. YES season five! I know lots of peoples think she's annoying, immature and all, but to me this was the best season for her character. Dawn is not really a favorite character of mine. She's good as Buffy's sister but she never turned into much of a character that stood out for herself. Anyway, back to this season. I liked how they explored her view of what it was to be the sister of a Slayer. The whole journal thing at the start was great, and one of the FEW times I felt for her was when she finally found out she was the Key. She also had an interesting relationship with Spike in that season, kinda like a lil sister with her big brother. She bring in a different view of the main characters world. Yea she was annoying sometimes, but which teenagers aren't? (and I was too haha!) All in all, good job to the writers for getting her in with the main cast with a great storyline.

Least Favorite: Season six. Her purpose in the story was less clear for me at that point. She was still Buffy's sister and all, but she didn't bring much into the plot. I thought the episode 'Older and Far Away' had her act in a really weird and forced way(where did the whole no one care about me came out from??). I actually liked the whole being unable to get out of a house plot, but how Dawn was felt really forced and just to make this whole thing happen. There was no build up to it, at least from my point of view. In the end though, probably my favorite scene with her was at the end of this season when she showed Buffy she could fight and take care of herself if only Buffy would trust her.

Tara Maclay:

Favorite: Season four. Tara was a character that I just couldn't help but like. On the other hand she never really had an important storyline concerning her. The only episode centered on her was 'Family' and it was great, but i'm sure they could have done more with her role. Season four was my pick because it showed what she could bring to the whole group. She was working out really well with Willow and a bit like Xander with Buffy she was a great emotional support. Again, she never was THAT important to the plot but she was great for what she was mean't for. Her and Oz are the hardest for me to talk about since I just don't think they got as much development as the rest. Which is kinda sad.

Least favorite: None. Yes, none. She wasn't less than what she was in season four afterward. All I can say is that as said up there, I wish they would have expanded her character, probably in season six or seven(if they didn't kill her).

Daniel 'Oz' Osbourne:

Favorite: Season four. I really liked his character in that season. He finally got some character development with Veruca and I thought they'd expand on that, not just get rid of him. I know there was real life things linked to his departure, but since we're talking about the 'character'. He could have come back for good, weither Willow was with Tara or not, it's a bit like her(Tara) in fact, they never seemed to be developed much outside of the person they were in love with. I'd have liked more Oz centered stories on Buffy! He could have been a really cool character, being a werewolf and all 🙂

Least favorite: Season two. He came on late, and even though his Ozness was already present, we didn't see much of him that season 😛

AtS main characters:

Liam 'Angel' 'Angelus':

Favorite: Season three. I absolutely loved Angel in that season. We saw a new side to him(DADDY ANGEL) and it was both cute and hilarious! Also for me this is the most interesting season about the character. Getting the past(Holtz) to come back and haunt his newly found life(Connor) and happiness was cruel but SO fitting for Angel. He can never seems to get the 'reward' for his long redemption path. Every time, something come to destroy or steal it.

Least favorite: Season two. I know lots of peoples like the whole 'dark' Angel arc in that season, but I didn't. But again I can't say I hated Angel in any season on HIS show. So that's pretty much all I have to say there.

Cordelia Chase:

Favorite: Season one. This was another hard choice. Cordy is AWESOME in Angel, and the first three seasons are pretty even for her. I think I picked the first one because she had such good chemistry with either Angel and Doyle, and then Angel and Wesley! She's perfect for them 😀 She's so much more funny than in Buffy, and we also discover new sides to her, just like Angel! She matured, and was such a beloved character for me. I'm sad she wasn't in the last season.

Least Favorite: Season four. Alright, I know everyone on this planet(lol) HATE season four for what it did to Cordelia. But it wasn't the case for me. What I hated is the fact that in the end they killed her. I would have been fine with everything. But they COULD NOT kill her. Kill Wesley, kill Gunn, kill Fred, but Cordelia was way too important of a character to kill. She had to be with Angel till the end, she had to be part of W&H, she had to be part of the whole show. I'm really sorry Joss, but that was the biggest mistake you ever did on your shows, killing Cordy.

Wesley Wyndam-Pryce:

Favorite: Season four. Alright, like Spike I just loved Wesley every step of the way. He's such a cool character, so it was hard to pick the season I liked him the most in. But in the end, season four was his time to shine! First of all he was totally bad ass, he got really interesting to follow. He had so many great episodes. I liked his time with Lilah, he turned her into a character I actually liked(which was quite a feat trust me). He took pretty much charge of the group when Angel became Angelus. He and Faith together is a pretty awesome team in that season 🙂 We also saw the good old Wes in 'Spin the bottle'. Just great great great Wesley during that season!

Least favorite: Season five. Tough one. I hesitated between one and five. I picked five in the end because even though I said I liked him every step of the way, the way he became at the end really made me sad for him. He didn't seems to have any hope anymore, and he was an all around very grim character in this season(except for the short time with Fred). Again, i'm not bashing him. It's just isn't my fav part of him. Shame they killed him though... he had to be at Angel side for the final showdown, just like Cordy.

Charles Gunn:

Favorite: Season five. I thought for a while that Gunn's character lacked quite a bit of development, and personal storylines. So I really liked his story in the last season. He was not Fred's boyfriend anymore, he wasn't very close to either Angel or Wes. He found a use for himself outside of being 'muscle' for the group. I really felt for him when he realized how far that had got him though... He had took part in what killed Fred 🙁 Just made him re-think everything he had chose until then. And then he sacrificied himself in that hell dimension. I think these were the biggest moments for him. Overall he wasn't my fav character, but I was glad he wasn't that stereotypical black guy throwing lame jokes every minute(Eddie i'm thinking of you).

Least favorite: Season two. I wasn't a big fan of Gunn in s1 and s2. I actually thought the character was pretty blend and uninteresting. I was pondering at the start of the third season if I was every gonna like him(which I did from 'That Old Gang of Mine and on). Anyway, the season two was my less favorite for him. He didn't really have much personality I thought. He was part of the team and slowly grew closer to Wes and Cordy, but never really brought something special, except kicking some ass(which i'll admit, he was good for a human haha!).

Wini'fred' Burkle:

Favorite: Season four. I hesitated between three and four, but had to take four solely because of 'Magic Bullet'. That episode was reaaally great for me(excluding the fact it contained Jasmine). Poor Fred 🙁 She was all alone... Again, she's another character I didn't really dislike in any season. But I liked the whole love triangle Gunn-Fred-Wes in that that season. Even though she was really slow to get Wesley loved her, DUH! Also she was GREAT in 'Spin the bottle' hahaha 😛 Gogo Fred! I compare her a bit to Tara in BtVS except she was more active and actually kicked ass sometimes. They both were characters I just couldn't get myself to not like.

Least favorite: Season two. Ok, I know she was only in three episodes, but still. I would have never thought from that story that she would become important in the show. When I re-watch it, I look to see if Wes and Gunn even showed a sign of interest at first and nope! Kinda weird to me. Writers changed their plans later on haha? Oh well, that's pretty much it.

Krevlornswath "Lorne" of the Deathwok Clan:

Favorite: Season three. This sucked to pick a season... LORNEEEEEE!! Oh my god I love that guy, such a great character. Got to be totally honest, I never thought i'd like him after seeing the first episode he was in! But he's awesome. In season three he finally get with the group, he also play a big role around Angel, Connor and Cordy. He was like an uncle for Connor, a confident for Angel, which actually brought a side of Angel never seen in BtVS EH! He was the only demon of the group and even though that, he was actually the nice and non-violent guy. I just like pretty much everything he say, he was sarcastic as hell ala Cordy or Xander, he was also smart and threw couple brilliant lines all the time. He just made bad situations look better. Seeing how important he was to the whole team, I wonder why he wasn't introduced faster. My fav character on the show! Whoever came up with that character should be applauded.

Least favorite: Season five. And only because I had to pick one! He was still great but I thought he wasn't of much importance to the plot. He was detached for a while and didn't have as many brilliant moments(even though I love the time he's disguised with his sunglasses and spy on Illyria LOL). And then you got the moment I despise, Lorne kill Lindsey. Screw you Angel!!

I could have probably named a few additional characters from each show, but this was such a long post, I need to take a break now haha! Good luck to those taking the time to read it!

Willow-Tree
I LOVE this post! By the way, Emma Caulfield requested for Anya to be killed.
Cordelia Chase

Favorite: Season Two (of Angel) - She had matured a lot by now, but also retained her signature bitchiness. She also had her longer hair for most of the season, which I think looks best on her. She started becoming best friends with Angel and started to let more people into her life, popular or not. I also loved her storylines in this season.
(I also loved her in Season 3 of Buffy)

Least Favorite: Season Four (of Angel) - I know it wasn't really her, but it sorta was, if you know what I mean. I don't need to explain my reasons... if you've seen Season 4, you should know why this is my least favorite.

Oz Osbourne

Favorite: Season Three - He was all fleshed out at this point... the Scoobies knew he wolfed out, his relationship with Willow was going smoothly, and he was just chill and cool.

Least Favorite: Season Four - I liked that he got deeper in Season 4, but HATED that he cheated. It doesn't seem like his style at all...

Dawn Summers

Favorite: Season Seven - She was the most "mature" during this season, even though she still had her teen angst and whatever. She actually helped out with the Potentials, even after finding out she wasn't one. She also didn't whine as much.

Least Favorite: Season Five - Key or not, Dawn was a major bitch. I sure as HELL didn't act like that at thirteen/fourteen (I mean, to an extent, but I didn't make myself bleed or run away). Just annoying, selfish (until the end), and a brat.

Spike

Favorite: Season Two - Spike was at his major best here. I love Spike all around, but I just like him more evil, to be honest. He and Drusilla were so awesome, it was ridiculous.

Least Favorite: Season Six - The "attempted rape", whether or not I believe it was (I don't, for the record), but I hate that it made people hate him, so it's not cool. He also got too clingy, whiny, and pseudo- stalkerish.

MORE LATER

Buffy:

Season 7. I liked how mature she got, and I related with her a lot more in that season. 🙂

Least Favorite: I dunno, all of the rest? 😉 I guess I'll go with Seasons 1-4... She annoyed me in them all. 😀

Cordy:

Season 1 of Btvs- I just ADORE shallow Cordy. Just do. I love her so much when she's shallow. (sw) Also, Season 1 and 2 of Angel, she was still confident and fabulous Cordy, but got a nicer and more empathetic side. 🙂

Least favorite: Obviously Ats S4. But since that wasn't REALLY Cordy, I'll go with Ats S3.

Xander:

Season 1. 🙂 But Season 3 is also up there, entirely because of The Zeppo. But yeah, Xander was at his best in S1, he was SO funny. 🙂

Least Favorite: Season 7. He just lost everything that made him cute, funny Xander by then.

Willow:

Season 1 because of her cuteness and innocence, and Season 7 because I love how she grew from being the mousy, shy girl that she was in the beginning to being the powerful goddess. 🙂

Least Favorite: Five. Something about her just irritated me in the Fifth season. I dunno. She just didn't seem very Willow-y.

Spike:

Season 2. There was something endlessly cool and desirable about him there. 😛

Least Favorite: Three. He just wasn't there very much. 😀

Angel:

Angel S1, Angel S2, Angel S3... Angel rocks in pretty much every ats Season except S5 imo. But I guess that I'll go with S3.

Least Favorite: Season 5. He seemed... Different. Cut off, I suppose.

Doing Core Angel Cast now:

Angel

Favorite: I can't choose! Angel is awesome in all Seasons 😀
Least Favorite: If I had to pick, it'd be S2. I do not like Dark Angel. At all, lol. I'll take Angelus a thousand times over, but I just... ugh Angel going dark is something I'm not a fan of.

Cordelia

Favorite: S2. She's less shallow, but she's still Cordy 😀
Least Favorite: S4, obviously.

Wesley

Favorite: Every. Damn. Season. Wesley is just amazing!
Least Favorite: N/A. He gets better & better!

Fred

Favorite: S3. crazy!Fred is awesome 🙂
Least Favorite: N/A. Love the woman in all seasons.

Gunn

Favorite: S1/S2 - when he's first introduced. The scene where he distracts the employees in Wolfram&Hart is comedy gold.
Least Favorite: S5. His whole 'waaah, if I don't have legal information in my head, I'm useless' was just like "huh?" to me, lol. Didn't seem like the real Gunn.

Buffy

Best: S8
Yep. I love the show but I've never thought much of Buffy herself, but now, in S8 I just love her. Finally she's a leader but not a bitch, a slayer that makes time for slaying stuff and a women with time for girlfriends (Batsu forever)

Worst: S1

Right, maybe I only had 12 eps to decide this but all she does in whine, whine, whine. She hates being a slayer even though she has had a year to get to grips with it. So annoying.

Willow

Best: S5

Why not? She's still book-smart but emotionlly smart now too. She still seems to little girly and sweet but she can be sexy too. She does a great job looking after crazy Tara and is so sweet to Dawn.

Worst: S6

Ugh. How can someone just change like that? Well, her best friend had just died saving the world from going to hell. I'd be a bit bitchy too.

Xander

Best: S5

Xander grows up. Moves outta the basement, gets a job where he bulids things, tells his girl he loves her. But still so sweet and nerdy and awesome and immature. Xander forever.

Worst: S6

He seemed so Xander-y. He seemed to spend the whole season whining about his lack of powers and he just keeps blaming and hating himself. He really made up for it in Grave though. That was the Xander I love.

Giles

Best: S2

He tries. So hard. This was the season when Giles stopped being "watcher guy" and started being a person. He stays strong, he gets mad, he has a girlfriend and he becomes and he and Buffy realise how much they need each other.

Worst: S6

He was never here. I missed him so bad. He kicked butt in Grave though. Still, I really missed him.

Will post more later!
