Favorite Villain??

Just wondering what/who your favorite villian was in Buffy or Angel.

I really like the mayor in Buffy S3 cuz he was evil but some of the stuff he would say cracked me up sooooo much...

like in the last episode of S3 when he's talking about how they're going to kill everyone and then at the end he adds, "oh and tone it down on the swearing tonight okay guys?" hahaha.....he was great.
 
I'd have to say my fav Villians were Andrew, Jonathan and Warren, aka "The Trio". I thought they were the dorkiest people and just didn't fit the description of "Evil", yet that's exactly what they were. But to me they were hilarious!
Another would be Willow...the dark willow that is, if she counts as a "Villain". To me I couldn't have imagined how this "evilness" could come from deep within her, but I felt she had a right to feel the way she did and her emotions and actions to me were justified.

the Master, Angelus, Drusilla, Spike, the Mayor, Faith, Adam, Lindsay, Lilah, Darla, Glory, the Troika, Darth Rosenberg, Holtz, Justine, the Beast, the First Evil, Caleb, Jasmine, the Circle of the Black Thorn, Hamilton... a bit much perhaps!?

Glory, Adam, Caleb, Hamilton, Darla, and the Circle are my absolute favs.


I also liked Vail because he had such a terrific death-scene... hihi

The mayor is my favorite, I just loved how real he felt, and that he was a character with so many levels. He was like sweet and really evil at the same time. And his releationship with Faith is just amazingly interesting, last time I saw Faith in season 4 looking at him on the video I just shivered, gah.

The first time I saw the trio I really disliked them, didn't find them funny at all, Warren has kinda creeped my out from the first time I saw him though, there's just something about the way he is that I can't really explain. I do like the trio now though, they can really make me laugh, and when things are getting out of hand with them (killing katrina and stuff..) they really make me angry.

Caleb is scary, and his superior behaviour makes me mad, he's a really good villain too. The way he just show up sometimes, it's so nightmare-like.
 
The Trio <3 They were so cute. ^^ And Illyria, of course. She's cool 😛 Dark Willow, Angelus, Spike and Drusilla, The Circle of the Black Thorn, Lindsey, Faith, Hamilton... Don't remember all of them.

I agree, the Fanged Four! The Mayor was a great villain too. Okay, I liked most if not all the evil-ish characters on the two shows (except Eve, who wasn't evil but tried really hard GAH!)
 
my fave villians are the fanged four and faith. mostly because all of these 'villians' redeemed themselves in the end, except drusilla, obviously!!
 
I love Faith, she is my favorite character, but she'll never be a villain to me... So I have to say The Mayor, he was the perfect villain in my opinion, he was funny, dorky and oh so wonderfulyl evil. Awesome.

yeah, Faith wasn't really a villian.
Lindsey was my favourite villain. He was the coolest, with his guitar, some great sequences (Angel hammer bashing, You're Welcome sword fight), that really gruff voice...sigh...

I thought Lindsey to Angel was like Faith was to Buffy. Usually enemies, but periods of 'sort of' getting along. On that note, Faith was my second favourite. Ok so she wasn't really a villain, but she was at her best when she was bad, so she makes no.2.

Choosing a 3rd favourite is a lot harder. The mayor was good in a creepy way. Angelus/Spike/Willow/Illyria all made great bad guys but can't really be classed as villains. Caleb gets credit for being played by such a great actor. The Hush Gentleman were the scariest bad guys in all off Buffy/Angel. The First was a perfect choice of enemy for season 7. Hamilton sadly didn't get a chance to shine much, but he was played by a great actor. Glory was the perfect anti-Buffy. I could go on for ever, there's been so many brilliant enemies it's hard to believe that one (well two) shows delivered them all.
 
I really liked Angelus. I liked that character more than Angel. Willow was also a good villian. Those two villian personas really went for the hurt instead of the kill (well, they went for the kill, but it was much more intimate)

In AtS, I really liked Illyria. She was awesome!

My favorite villian from AtS was Evil Cordy.She was just so manipulative.My favorite villian from BtVS was Glory.She was beautiful and scary at the same time.She was also very funny."Did anyone else know the slayer was a robot?"

What a tough question!!!

I will have to say that my top three are:

Angelus: He is just the perfect villian, absolutely pure evil.

The Mayor: He was great. He could be very real and funny one moment then a total badass the next.

The Beast: Probably my favorite just because he kicked everyone in the AI Team's ass. Nobody knew what to do to stop him. It's crazy that he wasn't even that season's BIG BAD.

My fav. villians are Glory, Caleb, Faith, Mayor, Angelus, Doc, These are the villians who were there to test Buffy, not just get on their nerves. I didnt like the trio. I liked jonathon and Andrew as good guys.

My first and foremost favorite villian is Angelus. He's just so.....deliciously EVIL! The other three of the Fanged Four get props, too. Just hearing about them back in the day was enough to send a shiver down my spine!

Loved Evil Willow, too. I thought that whole arc was brilliant.

i can't believe i forgot about caleb!! forget my other post! caleb was THE most evil person on buffy! i SCREAMED at the TV when he put xander's eye out! that was the worst moment for me!
 
Yep, yep, Caleb was my favorite, as far as scariness goes. But as for watchability+scariness+likeability...the Mayor. I LOVE Mayor Richard Wilkins alone, with Trick, with Allan Finch, with Faith, with Buffy and Angel, I adore Mayor Wilkins!!!
 
I have to say, thinking about this, that I really liked Lindsey too. He was so......down home country boy, nice looking, cute accent, and then he turns around and he's EVIL. It was just the.....paradox....that I found so fascinating.
