CEO Angel... somehow in Season 5 the picture just seemed sort of "complete"... not entirely, they still had to make a decision about his love life, as well as make his bond with Connor stronger, but his character was most complete of all.

Agree. Well, I am not a huge Angel fan (the character). I honestly never liked him at all on BtVS, and not in season 1 of AtS either... But he became more and more okay in the later seasons of Angel. In the end of season 2 he was pretty funny, and in season 3, when he started falling for Cordelia, I started really liking him...

Never liked the Angel that tried to be all dark, handsome, mysterious typey, that was pretty lame.. he was better when he started lighten up and I just love his crappy humor when he starts trying to make jokes, heh..

Stalker Angel (BtVS s1 and s2 up untill Passion) -mysterious and sexy and good at making quick retorts and self-confident and good-looking. I miss him.

I liked him as Angelus in Season 2 the best....but he was also good in Season 1 and beginning of Season 2.

I really love his character in general though....but he's at his best when he's Angelus!!! :evilgrin0

For me it was early Angel season one but the best is Angelus season two. Angel has always been a great multi layered character but those where his best for me in Buffy. And Smile Time Angel and early season one of Angel where he was finding his feet again.

I agree! I really liked Angel in Season 5, even though I liked Angelus too. Somehow, I just really saw Angel as a whole character in this season and I didn't really like him in the Buffy Seasons all that much...I enjoyed watching him in the Angel seasons.

Although I did like Angel(us) in his less-felt roles as well. He's one of my favourite characters, and I like that there ARE just so many sides to him (like candy for a fanfic writer 😉)

I voted for AI Angel. It was so funny because he was still all broody and stuff plus he didn't know how to mesh with Cordy, Doyle, and Wesley all that well. The party dance scene in She is also one of my favorite AtS moments.

AtS Angel. That's when he started "helping the helpless". Plus, there were some really great moments in Season 1. He had to deal with a LOT.

I think you forgot a Angel type: Dark Angel without becoming evil Angelus from beginning of season 3 till epiphany cause thats my fav type. Other than that I would say Daddy Angel...
