Favourite Anya season?

Season 6. Once more with feeling. Anya at her best!

Wow! I really can't decide! I like her in every season but if I had to say one in particular it would be season 6. I think she showed that despite all the hurt she had gone through she still wanted to help buffy and the gang. I think the most memorable moment in Season 6 of Anya was when she thought Giles was dying in the Magic Box. The whole scene made me have goosebumps. When she went to tell Buffy and Dawn underground you could just feel her pain!

It made me love Anya more.

When Anya was trying to get Dawm to wish something bad an Xander.Her whole "reverse-Psychology" thing was hilarious.

I'm stuck between season 5 and season 6.

I liked how she played her role in The Body, not knowing anything and wanting to understand. I loved her role in season 5 and it's really tough choosing from season 5 or 6.

In season 6, she was just as random and funny and went back to vengeance a bit there until Selfess season 7.

I'm stuck between season 5 and 6 but I'm going to say 5.

i liked her in all the seasons she was in because she was funny in all of them.i liked her in season 5 quite a lot because she was always cuming out with funny lines.i liked Anya in season 6 as she grew up and matured a lot,although with the whole wedding deal she was a bit annoying but she got back in my good books at the end of season 6 as she tried to help Buffy and the gang with Willow,and the way she was with Giles when he was dying was really sweet.at the beginning of season 7 she was a little bit annoyin because she was trying to be all evil but it didnt work out for her and in the episode 'Selfless' she made up for it by being all... well... selfless.i liked Anya a lot andi cant believe she died in the last episode when there were other people i think should of died instead of her 🙁

I voted for Season 5, I thought that was her peak, although I thought she was great throughout. She gave us a wonderful performance in S6 OMWF. I'm glad they told her earlier life stories in Season 7 "Selfless".

The Anya character is probably my second favorite (next to Giles). I love the way that she struggles with her humanity. I love the way her brain works. I love her honesty. My favorite Anya moment is her monologue in The Body. That, for me, sums up the Anya character perfectly. For that reason, season 5 is my favorite. So I agree with everyone who cited The Body and season 5.

I'm loving her right now in season 5, I'm just trying to look over the fact that I know she doesn't survive the final battle 🙁 I know she is over 1000 years old, and has lived longer then any of them, but knowing that she is dead/will die is so sad 🙁

I voted for season 5. Coz she had all the brilliant blunt-i'm-new-to-everythingness still about her from season 4, but she was even more blunt because she knew them better (such as telling Willow 'well that's stupid' and saying to Giles 'hey! are you stupid or something?') plus she just gets even funnier as she learns to adapt to mortal life ('i have a place in the world now. i'm part of the system. im a working gal' 'if it wasn't for me Giles would be a terrified old man staring at a quartaly tax statement and wetting himself' 'thank you willow for taking time out of your busy life to come here and get in the way of mine...') but we also get the whole new layer of touching, genuine Anya and it was the first season the character wasn't entirely for comic relief. (The 'I don't Understand' speech for example which was just amazing along with her simple comforting words to Buffy in the same episode 'I wish Joyce didn't die. She was nice and now we all hurt'). And she was in this season so much more! definitely my favorite season

lol I voted for season 4, I'm trying to think of a good reason seeing all of your posts gravitate around 5 and 6 😀 Perhaps because it's the beginning of her love with Xander and I like watching their relationship in this stage. While watching season 5 I didn't really like her and I guess I had focused on Spike 😀. She was too annoying for me I guess. I think I gradually started liking her and accepting her individuality while watching season 6. But on the other hand my favourite episode with her is perhaps Selfless. Nevertheless one episode doesn't make a season sooo...as a whole I'd say 4 and 6.

Probably season 5, closely followed by season 7.
