Fred has developed a great deal over the three seasons she's been on Angel. Which has been your favourite Season to watch? And which Season do you think she has developed the most in?

I love Fred in Season 3. Her character developed more in later seasons but in this season we got to watch her go from a timid person into a very important member of the AI Team.
 
Fred wasn't really the character I had pictured.. I thought she would be more a mix between Willow and Tara, and way more shy and Tara-y than she turned out to be. But I always knew I was going to like Fred, and I did (maybe not as much as I thought I would though, but still a lot).

I voted season 3 too. In didn't like it in the first episodes when Fred had that crush on Angel, but she became such a sweet character. And, like you said Jules, it was great to watch her go from being that cute and shy and kinda weird girl to a "real person" and a real member of the group. I always wanted Fred with Wesley so I liked her the most during that time, when you believe they will become a couple (at least I did). That is one of the reasons why I like her more in this season than in season 4 (haven't seen season 5 yet).
 
Hard to choose, S3 had timid, crazy, sweet and shy Fred who was such a delight. And Fred in formalwear, not a bad thing. S4 ahd her getting a big storyline (the end few eps) and finally kissing Angel (im not a Frangel (?) shipper but just though its odd that it was never adressed, considering her crush) and S5 had her being used more sexually and a beautiful preformance in Hole in the World.

"I'm not scared, I'm not scared, I'm not scared! Please Wesley, why can't I stay?"

(Maybe S4 wins it because of the opening scene in Supersymmetry)
 
Season 3 Fred. When she was shy and hesitant it ws adorable! Although my favourite ever Fred moment was in the S4 finale "Home" when she picked up the big gun while touring Wolfram and Hart
 
I voted S5, just the duality between Fred and Illyria. And I liked how she had become so confident in S5. But she was great during S4 too, actually all of her seasons!

I voted season 5. I love how Fred's character had developed in season 5. Amy Acker got the chance to show how great she is at acting.... especially when she changed into Illyria.
 
I voted season five.

She was such a great person to Spike when he was ghostly, she got to kick scientist butt, and she got closer to Wesley, which is where she belonged.

And then her amazing morph into Illyria.

(I mainly like this season because of Illyria... I think it really showed how well Amy can act)
 
I won't repeat everything I just put in the Fred vs Illyria post but I voted s.5 because I loved Illyria was so much, but if that doesnt count, S5 Fred was still my favourte. S3 was too annoying at first with the Angel crush and overshyness, she didnt really seem to have much point in S4 (the Jasmine thing still floats over my head) but in S5 she had a place with all her lab stuff. It was also great to see the Wesley/Fredness that everyone had been wanting. And as for Illyria...
 
I voted for Season 5 cause that when Fred/Wesley became officale a couple but that was the worst season for her also cause she died which was a sad.....sad thing, but another reason i voted for season 5 is cause there came Illyria.
 
Season 4. I thought it was great when she was the only person that knew about Jasmine. It showed her strenght when she was alone and had to figure out how to make Angel and the others see what she saw. We always knew she was strong (5 years in Plyea) but we never got to see it until late in this season.
 
I voted for season 5 because I felt that Amy Acker really shined playing both Fred and Illyria and it was great to see Fred develop into a much more confident and mature character.
 
I liked Illyria much better than Fred so I voted for S5. but not only that she seemed much more independant and self confident in S5 than in the other 2 seasons.

I enjoyed her in S5 with the whole her and spike friendship type thing, But I like her alot more in S4..and S3.. So I guess its a tie between them two.
