Giles went through a few different roles on Buffy, which did you like best?
 
I'll pick a different category: Rippery/Baddass Giles. 😉

I know he wasn't like this often, but every once in a while he would act all bad, and it was awesome. Like in Band Candy, he was Ripper again. Or in The Gift, when he killed Ben, he was pretty dangerous-seeming. But I like Giles of all types. He's definitely one of my favorite characters.
 
I didn't include Ripper cause he was never seen onscreen... though maybe Bad Candy was Ripper :s If a mod wants to edit the poll and add the option feel free.

Personally, I liked unemployed Giles best... I don't really know why, he was jusn't as whiney as s5 and 6 or as bossy as s7, or as insecure and boring as s1-3.
 
Favorite Giles? It seems he is not on list (wonder why really, he was onscreen, be it alternative universe, he was portrayed). My vote goes to, ladies and gentlemen, to Ripper.
 
I gotta agree with Allycat and go with Unemployed Giles. I don't know why really I just liked him best in Season 4. He seemed really kinda lost that year. He was playing the guitar and not really knowing what to do with himself. I also love the part where Buffy calls him Hugh Hefner.
 
Well, to me Giles was always sort of the same. And I mean that in a good way, I always love Giles. I mean he's a bit scary in season 7, but I understand that and I'll always love him 😀
 
I really like the Buffy/Giles releationship, and the way he cares for her, and the other scoobies to sort of, I just love whenever he's around and I'm also jealous, I want a Giles in my life too.. (can you adopt Giles's anywhere? 😉 ) Anyway, I really like when he comes back in season 6 and Buffy tells him that she understands why he left, ah yeap.

Unemployed Giles. Or Man Of Leisure.

He was just so funny. The poor guy had nothing to do all year besides play guitar, get drunk and get lucky 😀

He seemed kinda lost towards the end of the season 🙁
 
Well, I totally want all of the above, but you've missed one: Ripper! And I would have to say if that was up there it would probably be the one I voted for. I mean all the glimpses we got of Ripper throughout the run of the show were just,let's face it, hot. I mean when he did get all badass tough guy it was like .::whoa-yeah::. and when he steals that coat for Joyce in Band Candy? .::swoon!::. I've got to seriously stop talking now because I just about to go onto a full on Ripper/Giles ramble and the greatness of him and then I got to a place that's pretty hard to get back from haha. So i'll stop now...

By the way, I did end up voting for Magic Box Giles, because that was where he seemed to a mix of all of the above. And twas perfecto mix-o. hehe.Plus, I loved the suits he wore then. very nice. ;-)

Haha! I can tell that took some will power to stop the 'Giles yay' juggernaut!!
He was pretty swoonsome for a watcher!
 
I am the master of all things will-powery. hehe. And yeah he was tres swoonsome. I mean if you consider other watchers, I mean Wes could be pretty swoonsome in the later seasons of Angel...but I dunno.I think Giles might just top him. hehe
 
I picked librarian Giles. I love the early seasons when the gang was in the library for all hours of the night and Giles was always there to tell Buffy that she needed to pay more attention to her slayer duties. I also loved him and Jenny Calender. Although I loved Giles throughout the series librarian Giles was my favorite.
 
'Magic Box Giles' to me it just seems right 😛 Or librarian Giles, but he's boooring :lmao:
