I did a search, and found there wasn't actually an official thread for Oz moments. (Unless it went by a name not including 'favourite,' 'Oz' & 'moments.' 😉) So pretty self-explanatory I guess. Anyway, Oz was a top character with quite the few moments worth mentioning, so post away. 🙂 By the by, when I say moments, that can include quotes too obviously. Here are a few random ones, will post more:
What's My Line, Part 1 - When Oz finally meets Willow. He has the tray of canape' in his hands and he's looking at it, Will comes in and he turns to look at who else is in the room, sees her, does the double take and realises who it is. And then he looks down at the tray and offers it to her. "Canape'?" 😀 Just done so well.
What's My Line, Part 2 - This whole scene is so sweet: (Oz just got the box of Animal Crackers)
Oz: "Oh, hey! (offers the box) Animal Cracker?"
Willow: "No, thank you. How's your arm?"
Oz: "Suddenly painless."
Willow: "You can still play the guitar okay?"
Oz: "Oh, not well, but not worse."
Willow: "Y'know, I never really thanked you."
Oz: "Oh, yeah, please don't. I don't do thanks. I get all red. Have to bail. It's not pretty."
Willow: "Well, then forget that thing. E-especially with the
part where I kind of owe you my life."
Oz: (pulls out a cookie and stops) "Oh, look! Monkey! And he has a little hat. And little pants."
Willow: "Yeah, I-I see!"
Oz: "The monkey's the only cookie animal that gets to wear clothes, you know that?"
Willow smiles.
Oz: "You have the sweetest smile I've ever seen. (continues down the hall) So, I'm wondering, do the other cookie
animals feel sorta ripped? Like, is the hippo going, 'Hey, man, where are my pants? I have my hippo dignity!' And you know the monkey's just, (with a French accent) 'I mock you
with my monkey pants!' "
Willow laughs.
Oz: "And there's a big coup in the zoo."
Willow: "The monkey is French?"
Oz: "All monkeys are French. You didn't know that?"
Willow: "No." (giggles)
Becoming, Part 2 - The gang are talking outside the school at the end.
Oz: "But we know the world didn't end, 'cause.... (looks around) check it out."
Anne - Fight scene at the beginning, the vamp's getting away so Oz picks up his stake by the tip and throws it after him, it whistles through the air flying end over end, hits a rock and bounces off of it.
Oz: "That really never works."
Dopplegängland - When Willow's undercover at the Bronze and she waves at Oz, and he realises it's regular Willow, she's not a vampire, even though he doesn't seem to really react, you can tell how relieved he is by his facial expression. To a casual observer maybe not, but if you watch him carefully you can see the emotion, really sweet. 🙂
Choices - The gang are discussing whether they do a trade to get Willow back and everyone's arguing except Oz who is sitting through it all. Then he gets up and walks behind Wesley, as he gets to this line:
Wesley: "It can all end right here. We have the means to destroy this box."
And Oz picks up the pot for the box-destroying ritual and throws it into a display case, settling it for them.
Buffy: "Giles, make the phone call."
