Favourite scene?

I feel like making some Bangel banner and could use some inspiration, so what is your favourite Bangel scenes?

May I respond, even though I'm not a Bangel shipper? Perhaps a non-shipper's perspective would be interesting.

My two favorite of their moments were (1) when Angel shows up at Joyce's gravesite after sundown and (2) at the end of Amends where Buffy is trying to talk Angel out of killing himself. They're just both really poignant, beautiful moments. I don't know if they give you any banner material or not. Well, actually, I also love when Angel shows up in the episode before Chosen, to help Buffy with the priest.

It is a close draw between Amends and IWRY for me, as well as their End of Days/Chosen scenes. Tough choices really! Up to you.

I don't ship any one pairing, but scenes I love with them:

-End of Amends
-End of IWRY
-ALL of the Becoming Part 2 scenes (can you tell?) 🙂
-The Prom, break-up scene through the dance scene
-The cemetery scene in Forever
-The end of Graduation Day Part 2 with them just looking at each other and him walking away

I love when she kisses him in 'What's my line' when he's vamped out 🙂 Lovely scene "I didn't even notice"

And their living room picknic in "Helpless"

This Spuffy shipper would like to, peacefully and in the holiday spirit, offer a few (other) great Bangel scenes!

-They're not onscreen at the same moment, but the way he looks at her from the bushes as she, terrified and depressed, looks at herself in the mirror after she's been called is really beautiful.

-Isn't there a scene where they're laying together in bed with ice cream cartons/other food items strewn around them in IWRY? If there is, that would probably be a great one.

-The tai chi scene after Angel returns...can't remember the exact episode! It's beautiful.

-The scene by the docks in which he gives her the claddagh ring, and the way she looks up at him.

Quite a few, one of my favs is in Surprise, when Angel is about to leave and he gives her the Claddagh ring.

I love the scene in IWRY when they're in bed eating ice cream, it's just perfect (and that's coming from a Spuffy person).

May I add one more vote to IWRY?

Once I did banners for IWRY ficathon, for my Bangel friends on LJ. Visually, all Bangel scenes are terrific. I thoroughly enjoyed manipping them - although I have a lot of issues with the actual content of the episode.

As far as visually? I adore the scene in the episode "Angel" where they're in Buffy's house and Angel is shirtless. OK, I'll stop drooling now. 🙂

As another faithful Spuffy, I shall post my favorite Bangel scene (well, one of).


BUFFY: My mom... said some things to me about being the Slayer. That it's fruitless. No fruit for Buffy.

ANGEL: She's wrong.

BUFFY: Is she? Is Sunnydale any better than when I first came here? Okay, so I battle evil. But I don't really win. The bad keeps coming back and getting stronger. Like that kid in the story, the boy that stuck his finger in the duck.

ANGEL: Dike. It's another word for dam.

BUFFY: Oh. Okay, that story makes a lot more sense now.

ANGEL: Buffy, you know, I'm still figuring things out. There's a lot I don't understand. But I do know it's important to keep fighting. I learned that from you.

BUFFY: But we never...

ANGEL: We never win.

BUFFY: Not completely.

ANGEL: We never will. That's not why we fight. We do it 'cause there's things worth fighting for. Those kids. Their parents.

BUFFY: (has an epiphany) Their parents.

ANGEL: Look, I know it's not much.

BUFFY: No. No, it's a lot.

Small scene with some humor thrown in (Buffy's look on her face when Angel said dike hahaha), but I love it.

Definately IWRY, I love that whole episode. I also love the Angel episode from season 1 of BtVS, the very end scene were they kiss and then the camera pans down and you see the burnt cross on Angel's chest.
