Favourite season for Go To eps?

What season do you tend to watch when you just watch to watch an episode?

I tend to go with season 2, Lie to Me, The Dark Age and Halloween seem to be the eps I watch when I feel like watching one ep.
 
Hmm, I basically never do that.
Just watch a random episode every now and then.

No, if I watch Buffy I watch it all. From start to end. In order. 🙂
(That goes for every show though. Not just BtVS)

Season 3 or Season 4

S3 'cause, well 'Bad Gilrs', enough said. 😀

But S4 is the king of the stand alone episodes for me. 'Fear Itself', 'Pangs', 'Something Blue', 'Hush' 'This Years Girl'/'Who Are You'. Great for just dipping in an not getting caught up in the main plot.

The best episodes have little to nothing to do with the main story arc, unlike say Season 2 or 5.

good question. Right now, Season 3 or 4 for me too probably. S5 is my favorite, but it's an all or nothing kind of thing for me. Very addicting though.
 
I rarely ever watch s1-3 for random episodes, when I watch those I watch them in their entirety. My most single watch episodes are probably something like New Moon Rising, The Body, The Gift, OMWF, Tabula Rasa, Entropy, Seeing Red, Normal Again, and The Killer in Me. So with that I'm going to say s6.
 
I always watch the series from start to finish in order. I don't like breaking the continuity of the show.

But if I was to jump around I would definitely watch episodes from season 6. Tabula Rasa, Once More With Feeling, and almost any episode with the trio is great.
 
I usually watch episodes from earlier seasons, like Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered or Halloween or something like that. Season 1, 2, and 3 are my favorites for that kind of stuff, but on occasion I will go to s4 to watch New Moon Rising or Restless. I may even go to season 5 to watch Family! But never 6 or 7 because they depress me. Though especially for season 7, I don't watch it mostly because it's my least favorite season.
 
Usually I go with seasons 3, 4 or 5, because they have the highest number of quality episodes for me. I do watch OMWF, the Dark Willow eps and CVWD quite a bit too. For some reason I always feel the need to watch season 2 all the way through, and I never really watch season 1 that much.
 
Season 3 followed by season 4 are the ones I watch the most. 'Band Candy', 'Doppelgangland', 'Fear Itself', 'Something Blue', plus all the Faith episodes and Graduation Day is great ending for the high school seasons. Season 1 and Season 5 are the two I go back and watch the least.
 
Season 2 and Season 6 have some great episodes I can watch singularly. Other seasons it is a bit more difficult.
 
I haven't really gotten to that point yet, but S3, S4, and S6 have some great standalone episodes, despite S2 and S5 having the best plot IMO.

Once More With Feeling, Tabula Rasa, Hush, The Wish, This Year's Girl/Who Are You? among so many others.
 
Even though I've seen every individual episode loads of times, I've only watched the full series in order, from start to finish, twice.

Season 4 is probably my favourite for a "Go To" episode, although I like the season 5 eps too but NEVER the uber-depressing episode (you know the one I mean!!).

Season 7 is probably my least favourite for a "Go To" episode because to be honest I find it hard to tell the episodes apart. They just start bleeding into each other. Every episode starts and ends in the Summers house, with loads of new little girl characters I don't care about running around. The only standout eps for me that season are Selfless, Him, CWDP, Storyteller, and Chosen (though I limit how often I watch Chosen because every time I do, the flaws stand out more, and I don't want to ruin it).
 
I usually season 1 or 2 for stand alone episodes to get my fix. I've seen them so many times that even if they're not supposed to be a standalone, they are now.
 
I almost always go to Angel s2. First Impressions, Dear Boy, Darla, Reunion, Redefinition, and Epiphany are all go-to episodes for me.
 
I usually watch marathons of the entire show as opposed to just one episode but if I were to just casually pick an episode to watch just for the heck of it, I would probably refer to either season 2 or 3 when things were a little lighter in the buffyverse. Band Candy, The Prom, Homecoming, Bewitched Bothered and Bewildered, Earshot, Halloween. All great eps I could see myself watching without the need to immediately watch the very next episode 🙂

Angel: Season 4 (The Faith arc en Angelus arc)
 
Season 2 has so many great go-to episodes my favourites are Passion, IOHEFY, Innocence, The Becoming, Lie To Me + Ted, but there's so many more, I always reach for my S2 box set when I'm need of a quick fix or buffy eps 🙂
 
Good call season 1 of Angel. When Greenwalt left Angel the heart of the show was lost. First two seasons are great.
 
I tend to be pretty even in my random re-watching. I have too many favourites and can always find an episode I am in the mood for. If I've got time for a mini marathon I tend to go for the end of season 2 or the end of season 5.
