Seeing as my Buffy thread of the same content is going well I decided to do an Angel version. Basicly what is your favourite season of Angel? I decided to add season 5 in because some people have seen most of the season and some people here have read spoilers right up to the end.
 
I thought that after seeing S3, I might change my mind. But no, I still love S2 the best.
 
Season 2 - I thought the Angel/Darla stuff was pitch perfect, along with Dark Angel (sacking his staff, going it alone)... everything in the show at that point hit pitch perfect.
 
I love Season 1. It had great episodes and the guest appearances were great, with Buffy, Spike and Oz showing up. Doyle was such a loveable character and I was so sad when he died. Cordelia was still her usual self centred funny self, and Angel was his usual brooding self.
 
My personal favorite has been season 5. It lacks any Cordy (except in Your Welcome), but it does have Spike. The best in other ways was season 1. One word>Doyle. Period. End of sentence.
 
I said season 5, because it doesn't thus far have any frustrating plotlines, i.e. Darla, evil!Cordy and Connor. It has, however, thus far been Faithless, so therefore a very very very close second would be season 1.
 
I didn't like s3 too much, and i disliked s4 even more. I haven't seen s5- if i had i propbably would have put that. I picked s2- i loved the Dru and Darla storyline- i love Dru!
 
My favorite always used to be season 1 and I still really love it but my new favorite is season 5! It's just been such a great season, especially with the new Wolfram and Hart setting and Spike in the cast.
 
I have to say season 5 is the best, the show has really realized it's full potential with this season and although finally found it's peak, this season is a great way to cap things off.
 
I voted for Season 3...But, Season 5 was very close. I thought that Season 3 was amazing! I loved the idea of Angel and Cordy, even though it never really went through...Also, I like the interaction between Gunn and Wesley for Fred. But, most of all, I loved seeing Angel as a father. The season was great, but, so sad near the end when Angel lost Connor, and then he came back all "evilish".
